  • Beautiful restored cabin <15mins to Cradle Mt
    5 of 5

I stayed here with my husband, sister, mother & father-in-law – we couldn't believe our luck that we found and booked this spot. It is a remote cabin that has been beautifully restored by Genevieve: inside the original features have been preserved e.g. timberwork, fire but it's also very comfortable with a great kitchen, lovely bathroom and great big table for family / group meals. The cabin is set in incredible ground with a forest and creek on the edge. It feels totally remote but at the same time it's just off the main road into Cradle Mountain National Park (around 10 -15 mins drive to the visitor centre). I couldn't recommend this place highly enough – by far the best place we stayed in Tasmania. Thank you Genevieve!

  • Really gorgeous surrounds

If you have a family, love the out-of-doors, and want a comfortable place to call home, this is the place for you. The nearby lake is serene and Montezuma Falls near Rosebury is specular. Cradle Mountain is closeby (and amazing) and the little town of Waratah and the Philosopher's walk were real finds. Stahan and Queenstown are also not far. The house is modest but clearn and well stocked. I suggest you bring your fresh fruit and veggies but all other supplies can be bought in Rosebury.
