About this property

Cedar Creek Retreat | Hot Tub + Cozy Fireplace

Cedar Creek Retreat is the perfect destination for a large group of friends or a family reunion. It has everything a group of 10 could want in a mountain getaway. Even though Cedar Creek Retreat is technically in Ruidoso, in order to get here you drive through a mile of the national forest before re-entering private land.
Your vacation retreat is situated on a bluff above a creek that runs when there is rain or melting snow. Cedar Creek Retreat is a four-bedroom, three-bathroom air-conditioned log cabin with two decks where you can fully enjoy the fresh mountain air. There’s even a hot tub on the lower deck where you can soothe tired muscles after a day of golfing, skiing, or hiking mountain trails.
When you cross the threshold and enter the living room, you’ll love the rustic mountain décor. There’s plenty of comfortable furniture and a fireplace that will feel great on a cold winter’s night. Your living room also has a jukebox loaded with tunes and a large flat-screen TV with cable and a DVD player. Gather your group around the fire some night to share stories about the day in the woods or down enjoying the attractions of Ruidoso. Even though you’re deep in the woods, you still have free Wi-Fi so you can stay in touch with friends back home and share photos.
There’s a grocery near Cedar Creek Retreat so you can stock up for your week in the mountains and have everything you need to prepare your family’s favorite recipes. Your kitchen has all the cookware, appliances, and utensils you need to cook anything you want. You also have a gas grill where you can grill up some steaks, fish, or hamburgers for your hungry crew. People always have bigger appetites when in the mountain air.
You can serve meals in the dining room overlooking the beautiful forest views outside. Or, get out in nature to dine al fresco on the decks. It’s an option that seems to appeal to just about everyone.
After a day of rigorous vacationing, gather with your guests f

Beautiful Scenery
The home location was great there was deer every morning our babies looked foward to seeing them daily as did we. We were just a few min drive from the town and hiking was just steps away it was just great. The home was the perfect size for 5 adults and 3 kids the JUKE box was icing on the cake so fun!

Is a very cozy cabin
Is smaller than we thought but it was comfortable, nice jacuzzi, not a lot of deers though. My grandchildren love the the top bedroom with a huge bed. It is very convinient to have a code instead of the key. We really enjoy our stay. Thank you.

Friends getaway
The property management made us come to their office to get a packet in order to check in after hours instead of just giving us a code to the door. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable however the overall enjoyment of the cabin was to notch. The Juke box was a blast in the living area and we had an amazing time in Ruidoso. Won't be renting this cabin again but only because there are better and easier management companies in Ruidoso.

Really great location but not the cleanest property
When we entered the property it appeared clean except for a slight dingy smell. I just thought the was because the place is clearly older and maybe because there is a LOT of decorative items everywhere. And it is a cabin in the woods. The first night we didn't use the kitchen at all but the second night when we pulled cups out of the cabinet they were almost all dirty as were the silverware. There was a pile of what appeared to be clean towels on my bed when I arrived and the first two we used were clean, but beyond that I questioned if they had even been washed. Our kids used the bed upstairs so we didn't really inspect it too close at first, but after finding other dirty things we took a good look upstairs and found the sheets to be dirty. Overall, the whole house just needs a good deep clean and clearly the cleaning crew just comes in and does a surface clean. We didn't use the hot tub, but found it funny that the picture of the hot tub online has a wine bottle and wine glasses sitting on the edge yet the paperwork clearly states no glass or beverages around the hot tub. And the front porch light was out. Also funny since the switch is set to stay on at all times. In the end we really wish we would have just gone the hotel route. It would have been lots cheaper and most likely cleaner.
