About this property

Cabin on the Creek | Wraparound Deck, Pet Friendly

Escape to Cabin on the Creek, situated in the rugged forests of the southern New Mexico mountains where you can wake up to breathtaking forest views and the scent of pine trees. Even your pets are welcome! Though you feel a world apart when you stay at Cabin on the Creek, you are actually close to Ruidoso.

Up to six friends or family can enjoy a mountain getaway within Cabin on the Creek’s three bedrooms. The home is air-conditioned for summer comfort.

When you arrive at Cabin on the Creek the first thing you’ll probably notice is the huge deck that wraps around three sides of the cabin. This large deck provides plenty of room for the sunken hot tub, table and chairs, and gas grill. Imagine the fun of gathering in the hot tub to watch the stars come out in the clear mountain sky. Away from the city lights, the number of stars you can see will amaze you.

Walk through your front door into the spacious main living area with vaulted ceiling and handsome stone wood-burning fireplace. It will be fun to gather your group around the fire to relive your day’s adventures hiking, biking, fishing, or maybe trying out the local zip line. Your living room also has a wall-mounted flat-screen TV with cable and DVD player. Grab a seat on the large comfy couch and watch a favorite movie. You also have free high-speed Internet within Cabin on the Creek. It’s great for game playing, sending photos, or checking out websites for local attractions.

The dining space and kitchen are just beyond the living room. If you haven’t gathered the family out on the deck for dinner, you can use this table that offers a good view of the deck and forest through sliding glass doors. On many nights you may want to grill some steaks or burgers on your gas grill and then enjoy them in the great outdoors. Food seems to taste even better in the mountain air. One thing’s for sure; your group’s appetites will be hearty. Mountain air does that to you.

Bring your favorite recipes. You can easily prepare them in your Cabin on the Creek kitchen. You’ll find everything you need to cook and serve your family. Just make a stop by the market in Ruidoso and you’ll be all set.

You can also head down to Ruidoso and dine in one of the local restaurants. Be sure to check out the local live entertainment in some of these restaurants too.

After a day of mountain fun, you’ll be ready for a good night’s sleep. Your primary suite is on the main floor where you’ll find a king-sized bed and reading lamps in case you want to ease yourself into sleep. A large window gives you a beautiful forest view. You may want to slip out to the hot tub to enjoy a cocktail and soothe your weary muscles before climbing into bed.

Your primary en suite has everything you need to get ready for another day of vacation fun. Lay out your toiletries on the vanity and use the well-lit mirror to put the finishing touches on your look. Before you know it you’ll be enjoying bacon and eggs in the dining room.

Your two additional guest rooms each include queen-sized beds. One is located on the main floor and the other upstairs in the loft. There are a total of four TVs within Cabin on the Creek so late night viewing is definitely possible. The second and third bedrooms share a bathroom on the main floor that offers a shower/tub combination.

You’ll also like the fact that Cabin on the Creek has its own washer and dryer. No need to pack hordes of clothes when you can easily keep everyone in clean garments without leaving Cabin on the Creek.

Come enjoy the mountain air and views available at Cabin on the Creek. It’s a vacation home you’ll want to visit often. Please remember that Ruidoso is a mountain town with snow and icy conditions during the winter. This can affect driving and parking conditions regardless of the property, driveway, or roads.

It was a nice weekend
Over all it was a great stay and experience there were a few minor things like the motion lights outside are located right under the window of the king bedroom it lit up all night with wildlife of course so maybe a thicker blind or shade. Hot tube didn’t work but I was informed before hand so again not a big issue. It is a nice little home for families like my own and fur babies they had everything to accommodate us and our stay. Would book again !

Great Spot!
Great spot to spend a family Thanksgiving trip. Close to town and everything you need. Driveway is a steep incline so 4WD and possibly chains are needed for the winter. Everything else was perfect!
