Overall it was a fantastic family reunion spot. We had a group of 16 people. Plenty of beds. Everyone said their bed was super comfy and my parents said they had the best sleep! (they had the king room) 4 bathrooms were perfect for our group and there was plenty of extra towels and toilet paper. The washer and dryer was an added bonus! With playing outside and sitting around a fire clothes can get dirty quick.
The main room has multiple sitting areas, we especially liked being able to all sit at the large table for dinners .The kitchen has everything you need. Some pans could use an upgrade, but we made it work.
The outside of the property was quite large. The barn is surrounded by cement with a basketball court/net (there is a basketball provided), which was a nice surprise. The rest of the area is a dirt area. There is not much grass in the area by the barn, but a short walk and there is plenty in the surrounding areas. Our dogs still had a great time running and playing in the area! Plus we were still able to play catch, horseshoes, darts etc (we brought those games..but Gerard might be able to provide some if you ask him). Don't let the dirt turn you away!!
Gerard was super helpful and wanting to help with anything and everything. It was so nice to be able to buy ice from him instead of having to go to town...and a better deal!
The only con we had was there was a wedding happening on the Saturday (the day after we arrived) so there was multiple people coming in and out of the barn area to get supplies etc. With 2 large dogs that don't like strangers this added some stress. But we made it work and still had a fantastic time.
If you're looking for a nice spot for a wedding or reunion this is for sure the spot to book. Gerard and his wife will be sure to take care of you!
Thanks again Gerard!
