About this property

Traditional Irish Cottage Offering 5 Star Luxury with Hot Tub

Cuanbeg, when translated from Irish, means ‘Little Haven'. It is an authentic, traditional Irish cottage which was originally constructed in the 1930’s. It has been beautifully restored and now offers a unique experience combining all of the charm and tradition that you would expect of a cottage with the highest levels of luxury and comfort, including a state of the art hot tub offering the perfect way to relax and unwind after a hard day, at the beach, walking, fishing or golfing.

Cuanbeg has 3 double bedrooms which can comfortably sleep 8 people with the addition of 2 fold out beds. The main bedroom is en suite and there is also a communal bathroom incorporating a bath and separate power shower. The traditional appearance of the newly fitted kitchen cleverly houses all of the conveniences one could wish for, including a range style cooker, double oven, microwave, dishwasher and a large fridge freezer.

Peace and tranquility in west Kerry
If you are looking for quiet, peace, and tranquility in a cozy, fully-equipped home, this is your place. It is far enough off the beaten path that the only sounds are the wind and the baas of the sheep in the surrounding fields (and occasionally the driveway -- lol), but the towns of Cahersiveen and Waterville are still just a short drive away. We ended every day of our stay snugged in next to the peat fire in the stove. The kitchen has anything you could need and then some (and we cook). The bed we used was reasonably comfortable, and there's all the hot water you could ask for in the shower. The house is cheerful with natural light and the views of the surrounding countryside from the windows are amazing. Both the property manager, Gillian, and the caretakers were responsive and helpful throughout our stay. If you don't enjoy quiet and solitude, this might not be the place for you. But if you need a place for your soul to breathe a sigh of relief and to set down the burdens of the busy outside world for a bit, then book a stay here.
