About this property

Walk to Liberty Station From a Warm Guest House Perfect for Work or Vacation

Come be one of the first to stay in our new two story guest house. We built it just for you! You’ll love our place because of the comfy bed, the coziness, the full kitchen, the quiet neighborhood, and the views. We are minutes from downtown, Sea World, Liberty Station, San Diego Lindbergh Field and beaches. Plenty of great restaurants and shopping within a few minutes drive or walk. We live right next door in the "big house" with two dogs and seven cats and an eleven year old who will enjoy hosting you as well (the dogs can be greeted on the far side of the wall from your bedroom window, but otherwise, none of the animals will be with you in your private space). With room for three to sleep comfortably, our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Stay and enjoy yourself in this great space.
This is a newly built house with guests in mind. We have tried to consider all of your needs in outfitting the kitchen, bedroom and bath. We have USB ports for your gadgets, wifi for your convenience and heat and air conditioning for your comfort. The two-story house has one set of stairs that will take you from the welcoming entryway into the upstairs living space where you will find a fully equipped master bedroom and an easily converted couch for up to four guests to enjoy. The kitchen has full size appliances and is outfitted for a microwaved meal for one or for a gourmet feast with ingredients bought from the nearby Liberty Market.

The pumpkin is great!
Really nice place. Everything is new and well thought out. I especially liked the shower. Landi is a great host, available and cooperative, up for a nice chat. Quiet, prosperous neighborhood of mostly pre-wwii houses that are very well kept up. There is some jet noise, but that's the way Pt Loma is. Our favorite place we've stayed in SD over 25+ visits, including some big-name hotels.

SD 70's getaway
Everything was nice except for the location directly below Lindberg Field departure path. Was unable to block out or ignore the engine noise.

Comfortable home in a great, central location
The property is immaculate and well supplied, with a great host that lives next door. Located in a friendly suburban neighborhood that is very close to many food and retail options. Great central location for visiting San Diego beaches and attractions.

Let me a second home
Every detail of this property is beautiful! There is light, vegetation, some views and a great neighborhood feel. The property owner is always available but super at honoring privacy (great for my writing retreat.) located near the most beautiful spots in San Diego. Pristine accommodation!

About the host

Host profile image
I am a management consultant who used to travel all over the world for work. Since the birth of my son in 2011, I have managed to stay home and work from my home office with clients all over the world. It's a major change of pace and I miss the travel! I'm hoping to meet people by renting out my property, even if I meet you only 12 steps from my house!

Why they chose this property

I bought the house and adjoining property in 1999 with the intention of remodeling the house and building a guest house on the second lot. In 2010 we finished the remodel and in 2016 we finally built the guest house. I love the corner lot and the quiet neighborhood.

What makes this property unique

The Guest House is a tiny replica of "the big house" on the outside, but filled with modern amenities and comforts on the inside. I love the views to Sea World where you can see the nightly fireworks shows during the summer months. The windows out the back of the house make you feel like you're in a tree house since there's mostly greenery back there. You can hang out the window and talk to our two dogs from the bedroom. Or just keep the windows closed and pretend they don't exist.
