"By The Bay" is a responsible, adults-only establishment. We are not a party house. We have a lot of Regular Guests who enjoy a quiet place to stay. We require at least a seven-day stay.
"By The Bay" shares one of the most spectacular, ever-changing, Ocean Views on the entire coast with "Tidal Raves", one of the most popular Ocean Front Restaurants. The Wave Action is different every day. Unique, Exciting, and therapeutic, especially during Frequent Winter Storms. Don't forget the ever-changing sky also! We also enjoy a Marine Garden View during low tides. The Charter Boats come into our view as they find the Whales. Enjoy the Hanging, Wicker Chair, located in the covered, wind-protected Patio with a full Ocean view. It is quite an unexpected pleasure. With a 30-day stay, there is no tax required.

A great place to stay on the Oregon coast
Beautiful location across from the ocean and in a great spot on the Oregon coast, close to town and to otter rock surfing beach. The house was clean and well kept, with helpful notes around. Walt was very quick to answer our questions. Would definitely recommend :)

We loved this ocean view apartment in Depoe bay. It was comfortable and across the street from an amazing view of crashing waves! Though a smaller unit it has everything we needed.

Lovely and Peaceful
Overall the home was perfect for us without a real complaint to have! We even saw whales spouting from the house! My only suggestion is cleaning the spiderwebs from the ceiling of the patio would have made a more comfortable spot to sit as it was so lovely.

Vicki & I were lucky to find this property with it's wonderful unique Ocean View and City Center location. With determination and hard work, we managed to develop this property into a place that is always complimented and enjoyed by our many return Guests.

Why they chose this property

We were very fortunate to have found this unique Ocean view, City Center property. Walt has retired from his Real Estate business & we are now concentrating on these wonderful Vacation Rentals.

What makes this property unique

Our Ocean View is unique to the Oregon coast, with its large unusual naturally formed rock formations and ever-changing wave action. We have at least 2 usually 3 waves, all moving in different directions, then they meet, crashing together, 50 feet in the air. Of course, the wave action is much more entertaining during the winter months.

During very low tides, we enjoy our own Marine Garden View. The Apartment includes a Covered, Ocean View, Old Growth Alaskan Cedar, Wind Protected Patio. With a very unexpected Ocean View This cozy home away from home is one of the very best values on the coast.
