Cute, charming and comfortable!!
We loved staying at this Home! It was perfect for our family especially having little ones (ages 2 and 1). The owners were quick to accommodate use with baby gates, a playpen and electrical outlet child proof protectors when they saw we were traveling with little ones. The house was very clean and well equipped with everything you might need, from everything in the kitchen down to extra blankets you may need. The bedrooms are good size with plenty of closet space and the bathrooms were great too (especially for being an older home). The basement area is very cute and clean and would be a fun place for older kids/teenagers to sleep. The backyard was well kept and perfect for enjoying the beautiful Seattle weather we had. There is even an apple tree with delicious apples on it! The neighborhood was quiet and very family friendly! There is a park 2 blocks away. Everything you need is in walking distance; groceries, restaurants, coffee and more... We will 100% stay here again if our travels ever bring us back to the Seattle area!

I would definitely stay again
The location is excellent and the house definitely has the charm of a 100 year old house. The kitchen was great for cooking and we enjoyed coffee and wine in the backyard several times. They said they added some games which is nice because they needed more. I would definitely stay there again for the price. Very nice area to walk in with several places to eat and shop within walking distance.

Old fixer upper with some cosmetic touches
The owner was nice and has put in lovely floors, cabinets, decorations and whatnot. But, the house is old, small and musty smelling. It requires updated plumping, furnace, working appliances, etc. We live in a 100 year old house so we've been through all of this ourselves. The house was clean but missed the amenities we have come to expect from vrbo properties. The direct tv service listed was out while we were there. We had to go buy soap and shampoo so we could shower and there was no hair dryer. The third bedroom is in a dank spidery basement. The games were fun and the location was great. We did lots on foot and it's a quiet street. The owner has fixed the water pressure issue in the shower and the beds are pretty comfortable. The house has potential but as is, not a value - especially with a $150 cleaning fee and a list of chores to do before check out.

Nice Family Retreat
Our son joined us as we visited our daughter and her husband. This charming bungalow was a great place to gather, eat and play games on a rainy Seattle weekend. Our four day stay was highlighted by grilling a nice dinner, making a large family breakfast, sitting around the dining room table playing games and enjoying time in the living room. This is an old charming and comfortable house and we have to find a few light switches, but that made it fun too. The beds were comfortable and there is a nice backyard that we could have enjoyed if the sun had come out. We did laugh that the water pressure in the shower was not the best, but after growing up on a farm, we were used to that and it worked just fine. All in all it was a great time with our family, a perfect place to stay as we walked to coffee shops and breakfast places on Greenwood Ave. We'll stay here again!

Hello, we LOVE Seattle and this quaint house which we enjoyed for many years. We now live an hour away from Seattle and are happy to share quintessential Seattle with you. Dave and DeEtte

Why they chose this property

This is a quiet neighborhood on a tree-lined street. The house is over 100 years old and preserves all of it's original charm - including a breakfast nook and prairie style windows. Inspired by the Frank Lloyd Wright's architecture, this house melds into the scenery with overhanging eves and greenery.

What makes this property unique

This home has great evening light.
