About this property

Newly Remodeled, Lakeview Bungalow. Central Location by Village with Jacuzzi

We fell in love with the location of this townhouse-- it is right across the street from Ski Beach Park (which is right on the lake and has a great little playground, it's also where everyone goes to see the 4th of July fireworks show) and Meadow Park. We are very close to the village and a very short drive to the slopes. We undertook an extensive renovation which took all of 2016 and most of 2017. We gutted the place and replaced everything you see. Our furniture has been expertly selected by a professional designer and features top brands such as Restoration Hardware, LoveSac and West Elm.

Inside this home, you will experience lots of natural light aided by new expansive windows. The home has beautiful lake views off the family room. The dining room can hold a large crowd-- we just had 12 at this table for Thanksgiving dinner! The gourmet kitchen has been expertly stocked by a professional chef and you will find every tool and toy you could need to cook a gourmet dinner, including a spice rack and the basics.

The home is an upside down plan with the main living space on the top floor. The home is two stories. We are attached to one and share a wall (we are a duplex, they are not a rental), we are the larger of the two units. Upstairs, in addition to the living space, you will find a master bedroom with a King size bed, a beautifully furnished room from Restoration Hardware. The room features a 48 inch tv as well as electric blinds. The room does have a full bathroom attached.

Downstairs, there are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, along with the mudroom/entry. One bedroom features a King size bed, 55 inch television and en suite bathroom with bath tub. The second bedroom downstairs features a bunk bed with a Full size mattress on the main level, a twin on top and a twin trundle underneath. This bedroom also has an ensuite bathroom with a shower.

We have not taken short cuts-- beds are top of the line Serta, pillows are form Pacific Coast Feather Co. (though we got the hypo-allergenic ones), TVs are top brands-- we want you and your family to be comfortable for your stay!

Wonderful place, we loved it!!
Came up to Big Bear to see the mountains and run the Big Bear Marathon. it was the grandparents, 2 adults, and 2 kids. I personally thing the place is much nicer than the pictures. It was well stocked in the kitchen, clean, updated, and you even had a view of the water. Our favorite part is that the kitchen, eating area, living room is one HUGE open space. It was easy to keep an eye on the kids while cooking, working on the laptop from the dining room, etc. We highly recommend this property and hope to come back again soon.

My family and I enjoyed our stay. We enjoyed having a private backyard to have some snow-play. We didn’t use the jacuzzi but it was a nice option. Loved the updated kitchen and cozy living room. The house will make you feel you are at Big Bear with all the wood furnishings and wall decors. It was nice that every room had a bathroom, closet space , portable heaters and extra blankets & towels.The playground and the lake are just across the street. Our girls had so much fun! And ghis house being surrounded by trees is just breathtaking. With the balconies allowed us to enjoy watching the lake and the trees even more.The drive to the restaurants and to the Alpine slide was only ten minutes. Alpine slide was fun for tubjng and we cant wait to go back. Thank you for sharing your “Snow house” which my daughter calls it. So glad we found this beautiful house to spend our first BigBear trip in. We made some beautiful memories that we will always cherish. We left when it the first day of snow storm came down. Seeing all the fresh snow was so beautiful, we didn’t want to leave. Thank you again Barklow Family from the bottom of our hearts. We treated your home just how we would treat ours. What a blessing thos home is to your family and to your vacationers

Beautiful clean house in great location near the lake!
This house is very well maintained, extremely clean and nice furnishings. It didn’t feel like a rental house at all! The beds were extremely comfortable. The location is amazing, very close to the lake and great parks nearby for the kids! Will be back again soon!

Wow! This is a GREAT location and beautifully appointed property!
This property is across the street from a park that is right on the lake front. We used the park and the lake. We were also very close to the village. The property has a nice jacuzzi, high quality beds, comfortable furniture, and a well equipped kitchen. The host was quick to respond to my concerns. I would make three small suggestions. Fix the dishwasher that was being scheduled for repair. Mow the backyard so the space would be more inviting to the renter. And make sure the motorized blinds work and bulbs replaced. These are small suggestions compared to the bang for the buck you get by staying here. My family has a yearly Big Bear vacation tradition and this property is the best place we stayed! I plan to stay here again! Thank you!

The location of this home was superb! Right next to the lake, close to parks, close to the village, the slopes and everything we love about Big Bear Lake.

What makes this property unique

When I was pregnant with our second daughter, my husband brought me to Big Bear Lake with our first daughter. While walking around the town, we fell in love. We walked to the lake from the village and thought to ourselves "Wouldn't it be great to own a home in one of these little streets next to the lake." And we did just that!
