About this property

WHERE EAGLES FLY.....

Welcome to the most beautiful area of British Columbia with the largest bald eagle population in the world. From our property we literally see eagles soaring over the mountain tops every single day. And it’s a paradise for wildlife photography, too!

Our 2 bedroom Garden suite is a perfect get-away for people, who want to relax and reconnect with nature. We are just 15 minutes away from Harrison Hot Springs, only 25 minutes to the Sasquatch Ski resort, 5 minutes from the world-class Sandpiper golf course, Chehalis River, different Salmon hatcheries, many awesome lakes, and we are right at the foot of Woodside Mountain from where you can take paragliding with an experienced instructor over the beautiful Fraser Valley.

The suite is located in a safe, family-friendly neighborhood and has a fully equipped kitchen and laundry, and the master bedroom has a very comfortable ‘beauty-rest’ mattress. The entire suite is air-conditioned and has all amenities for you to feel at home.

We also want to mention that we added a comfortable sofa bed to the living room in (common space) which can easily sleep 2 additional people.

A large covered patio allows you to sip your coffee or have breakfast outside even when it’s raining and you have awesome views from every point and window. The kitchen is stocked with complimentary coffee, tea and spices, and when in season, you can help yourself with lettuce and herbs from our urban organic garden.

Free parking is available, and we greet you at arrival and try to be as helpful as possible during your stay with whatever information is needed.

Of course, we expect everybody to respect our house rules, which are not too many. No drinking, partying, smoking or taking drugs to keep our environment clean.

Last not least, on request and for an extra fee of $20/person we can prepare a German breakfast with our own homemade organic jams and one of our super-delicious egg dishes, or for a small contribution of $20 we can stock the fridge with farm fresh eggs, granola, yogurt and milk.

Let’s communicate to make sure we are the right place for you. Come and see!

We offer for the month of October and November customized eagle tours, please ask host for details.

Beautiful Stay in Every Way!
This is a beautiful unit that we would be thrilled to return to. Every detail was well thought and the back yard flowers were incredible. Dorothea and Burkhart were lovely people, and quick to respond to any request!

Lovely Accommodations
We enjoyed our stay very much. The accommodations were beautiful. The kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils we needed to prepare a meal. Very comfy beds. We appreciated the shampoos and lotions available in the bathroom as well. My husband and I spent a lot of time sitting out on the patio and admiring the lovely garden. The traffic was a bit loud at times, but it didn't distract from the beautiful views.

About the host

Hosted by Dorothea Kraas

Host profile image
We are married for 50 years, retired, free-lance photographers; and we live here since April 2016, when we decided to create a legal suite to host guests, who love nature and wildlife, being away from the huzzle and buzzle of the cities to reconnect with nature.

Why they chose this property

After selling our property in the city, we were searching for a property, and fell right away in love with this home because of the spectacular views from every window and because it's brand-new. We didnt want another house where we had to start renovating, but we just wanted to move in and enjoy. We hadn't been in this area before, and were just driving around and there it was!

What makes this property unique

The views from this private suite are beautiful. You can enjoy the covered deck or the little garden area and snatch some of the garlic and kales from the garden beds for your smoothies, of course, when in season. While I am writing this, everything is covered in snow.
In the video section is a little youtube, that we produced from photos of this area, some of them we shot right from our deck.
