About Michael & Ida Thomas
Hello! Our names are Mike and Ida Thomas. We have three children. Mike grew up in Halifax and after meeting Ida in Denmark while in the Air Force, we decided to settled down in Central Pennsylvania. We are the actual property owners. We do not contract out with a third-party property management company. So if problems do pop up, you deal directly with us. That allows us to provide personal attention and deal directly with you, making your stay our priority.
Michael & Ida Thomas purchased this House in 2003
Why Michael & Ida Thomas chose Dillsburg
We bought this family property more than 12 years ago. Originally we wanted to turn the bank barn into an auction house. And this was a great place for my mother to live until her passing in 2016. But "kids" happen, and priorities change. Due to school and friendship ties, we have decided not to move here from our current residence. So we are now offering it to others to enjoy. This property has much more to offer than listed.
What makes this House unique
Whether inside or out, this is a multi-function property. Boiling corn in the kettle over an open fire, grilling ribs on the fire pit, running around the yard, walking to the park, or just watching the sun set, privacy and winding down from the hectic every day pace, is what this property offers.

Michael and Ida were great to work with!
They were welcoming and the house felt like home. There were plenty of games and movies for the kids. The house was spacious and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with pans and dishes. We enjoyed our time there.
Great location between Hershey and Gettysburg
House was awesome, owner very accommodating and had plenty of room for six adults
We had a great time here. The property had plenty of towels and linens for our 2 families of 9. Our kids enjoyed the yard and we enjoyed making a fire in the fire pit one night. We got to sit on the porch and watch fireworks on our last night there (we were there Memorial Day weekend). We were in town to visit Gettysburg and Hershey and wish we had more time to enjoy the house, there were tons of toys that the kids would have loved to play with had we been there more and a whole bin of movies that we could have watched. We got to cook supper and breakfast in one morning and night to save money and the stocked pantry was great for staples (like herbs) and other things we forgot at the store. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely be staying here again!
Great Place with lots of room
Situated on a farm it is serene and peaceful yet close to the major highway 15 for access to the north or south.
Everything was just great.
We are return customers and we’re not disappointed. This time we had some better weather and were able to spend more time outside with the fire pit. We live the accommodations and you can’t beat the value! Thank you so much for your large, comfortable home. Sam and Patti
Nice house close to Ski Roundtop
Spacious house, great for groups and lots of bunk beds for kids. The kitchen and pantry and stocked with all you need for basic cooking and staples such as hot cocoa. The hosts leave specific directions about everything and are the right amount of communicative. Would stay again.
Owners two teen daughters being certified babysitters. They are always eager (with a small fee) to watch your kids for an evening if you want to have a night out, or have business socials to attend.
