About this property

CHESTATEE RIVER CABIN is a prefect secluded get away close to Dahlonega

If you're looking for an ADORABLE CABIN, 'on the river'....easy access to Atlanta and North Georgia THIS IS IT. The DECK is literally on the River!

The cabin has been updated with new appliances including dishwasher, washer/dryer and a HVAC. The one bedroom is most comfortable for 2 yet there is a queen size sofa sleeper that can sleep two more comfortably. We love four legged children so this cabin is PET FRIENDLY.
Sit down and just enjoy the sound of the river, go down and take time to do a little fishing or just curl up and read a good book! We are committed to providing a clean, safe and pleasant environment for our guests.

The cabin is truly great with a living room, fireplace, a queen sofa bed with new bedding and lounge chair. There is a nice size bathroom with a walk in shower.
We usually have cool nights and pleasant days in the mountains. The cable provider is Windstream and this is how we provide services with a smart TV. We have complementary Sling TV but you can sign on your own providers if you wish. Please remember that the cabin is rural. Power outages are not uncommon with storms or a heavy wind day. If that happens, we have an assortment of board games, cards and even fishing poles to help you find your happiness even unplugged.

The outdoor deck is almost as large as the inside allowing guests to truly take in the private surroundings. It overlooks the river and is close enough to fish from the deck. Location is at the end of a dead end road, only woods directly across from the river making it cozy and private.

Ten minutes to the delightful town of Dahlonega where you can buy your groceries and can even arrange to deliver it to your car. You can also enjoy shopping at the many quaint places on the square, dine in over 20 restaurants, canoe down the river, hiking trails galore, and horseback riding is less than two miles. OR...you can head to downtown Dahlonega and get your Starbucks fix. Stay for a weekend or come and hang out for a week! These locations are hard to find and you will love this beautiful 'hideaway'.

Quaint cabin on Chestatee River
Small, quaint cabin perfect for 2 people with all the amenities anyone could want. Cell service in area is spotty but cabin’s internet and WIFI worked flawlessly. It was rainy and chilly during our visit but the cabin’s HVAC system along with the fireplace did great keeping our old senior bones warm. Sounds of the river below from the large deck is very peaceful and calming. Finally, the owner answered our multitude of questions quickly and patiently and as first time renters of a cabin in the Georgia mountains, that was greatly appreciated

I grew up in North Georgia and love the North Georgia Mountains! I am also a Mom, Grandma, a daughter, a Nurse, a Physician Assistant, a writer, and an entrepreneur. After a particularly tumultuous time, I booked the cabin for a month in 2015. I fell in love with the sound of the river. I want my guests to feel right and home and to particularly enjoy a place of peacefulness, serenity and beauty. A place to rest and get away from the hustle and bustle of life and to 'reconnect'!
I'm hoping that you find this beautiful place will give you lot's serenity and will promote an atmosphere of relaxation!

You will be only 15 minutes to the Dahlonega and convenient to hiking, horse riding, wine tasting and shopping. You can sit on the deck and fish right off it or build a fire in the fire pit and roast marshmallows or just enjoy sitting on the sofa and reading a book as the sounds of the river surround you! Come and enjoy the healing qualities of nature.
