Beautiful Family Friendly Lake Getaway
We had a great time in Cabin #2 at cousins cabin for a family reunion/getaway. Stacey was an attentive and warm host. The lake is small, clean, private, quiet and calm. We heard and saw a lot of birds and loons, also heard owls and a lot of frogs. This is a great family resort! We used the kayaks, stand up paddleboard and enjoyed the water trampoline. The beach is wide, sandy and nice.Plentiful lawn chairs and kayaks to use. The cabin was very clean and cute. Stacey provided soft clean towels and bath mats for us. We found the kitchen and gas stove to be a good size for us to use to cook meals and it is stocked with basic necessities. We absolutely loved the screen porch which has fantastic 180 views close to the lake. A couple things to keep in mind, the parking is a bit limited for boat and trailer. Let them know ahead of time if you have a boat. There is no public launch as this is a private lake but there is a launch right on the resort. Also, bring your own charcoal, although Stacey graciously gave us some to use on the Charcoal grill. I felt well cared for and so relaxed. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. Stacey would do anything to help you enjoy your stay. It was one of my best vrbo stays we've had. I Highly recommend this host and cabin!

We are two cousins who purchased two cabins at the resort where they grew up! this beautiful lake has been vacation home to our families for over 30 years and we love the scenic and quiet setting that the cabins offer, combined with a multitude of outdoor activity. When we had the opportunity to maintain these properties for years to come, we jumped at the chance and would love to share this beautiful lake with you.

Why they chose this property

Conveniently located 30 miles north of Brainerd Minnesota, Horseshoe Lake is a private lake with minimal boat traffic and a peaceful setting. You are close to many towns for movies, shopping, turtle races, duck races, bowling and hiking so you get the best of both worlds-- peaceful setting with activity if you wish. You may never leave the lake and stay for campfires, peaceful reading, swimming, boating, tubing and fishing. It's all here for you to enjoy.

What makes this property unique

We have a separate shelter with TV/DVD and fish cleaning facility plus the best beach in the area! Fishing is typically very good/great on this private lake with minimal boat traffic. The hard sand weed free beach is perfect for beginning and experienced swimmers. Each cabin has a screened in porch that directly faces the tress and lake; you'll fall in love with the view and the wildlife that you'll see from your relaxing porch. Beautiful lake, great facilities, private lake and loads of fun. The campfire pit is located by the beach making evening campfires or breakfast at the beach fantastic!
