Included for our guests' use are two kayaks and two stand up paddle boards. A short paddle to the east, is the Manitowish River that allows for excellent paddling on calm water. Located a short distance to the northwest, is a flat, uninhabited (but accessible) island called Pancake Island perfect for an afternoon picnic. A stone stair case leads to the large patio and entertainment area featuring a fire pit, rock ledge seating, and 12 adirondack chairs and three chaise lounge chairs. To make lake access easily accessible there is a blacktop driveway that extends to the lake front ending at the 63' foot pier for easy loading and unloading of boats.

One of Northern Wisconsin's true gems!
This was our second stay at Island Bay Lodge. We returned because of the perfect setting. Everything is absolutely top-notch. Our group consisted of twelve brothers, nephews, and friends who are avid fishermen. The dock handled 4 boats with ease. Fishing was incredible-bass, northern, walleye and musky. Perfect views and weather. Northern lights out in full color for 45 minutes one night. Very comfortable for a large crowd. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful home. We can't wait to return. Everything was better than advertised.

Our family had the most incredible weekend at Island Bay Lodge! The hosts were incredibly gracious and the home was exactly as described (if not even better than expected) Our family of 15 had plenty of space to spread out when we wanted and the perfect space to come together for family meals or game nights! The access to the lake was divine as well as the kayaks and SUPs that were available for our use! The kids loved the diving/swimming platform. We had a couple of drizzly days but it didn’t stop them! We rented a pontoon from Greer’s so having the dock access was also appreciated! All in all we are 100% spoiled by this place and we can’t wait to return again! PS - this kitchen has it all - tons of appliances, flatware and dishes plus an incredible bar area with ice maker!!

My partner and I appreciate beautiful homes and unique properties.
This is truly an outstanding home ready for entertaining family and friends on the famous Manitowish Waters chain of lakes.

Why they chose this property

The property was originally the main lodge for the La Fave resort built back in the 1950's. The property commands a hilltop location with expansive views of Island Lake overlooking a tranquil bay.
