Impeccable
The Cooks have everything you need. On this trip we forgot our spices for cooking, but this location has it all. They even provided Rosemary for one of my recipes! I also needed a zip-tie to repair a chair on my kayak, and they had that too. I genuinely love this place.

Peaceful paradise
We have stayed at this cottage for 4 years now. It is always clean and well decorated. We love sitting on the deck. We go kayaking on Canadice lake. We are not much for swimming. We love driving the back roads to all the wineries. For those who want yo use the lake there is a pretty big hill but it was not an issue for us 65 plusers who are active. The owners are lovely people and I hope they will continue to allow us to stay.

Great vacation in the Finger Lakes!
This was our first trip to the Finger Lakes and we picked this gem of a cottage for our rental! It was perfect for the two of us and our dog. The Cook's Nook is adorable and well-appointed. In fact, we got to enjoy the bounty from their peach tree and blackberry bushes/vines during our stay! The Cooks provide an extremely useful binder that has information on nearby restaurants, the marina across the lake, and hiking at nearby Sandy Bottoms and at Mendon Ponds Park north of Honeoye Falls (so worth the drive). They welcome you to their cottage with a bottle of local wine, and my only regret is that we didn't return the favor by bringing them some Kentucky Bourbon.

Bright, cheery and roomy cottage!
This lakefront home had everything we could have asked for! Even the light switches were labeled, which was not expected but truly appreciated. Great week. Would definitely consider renting again! Thanks!

Review of property
The cottage and deck were very nice. Nice views. Quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed kayaks. Water access was close to impossible with extremely steep hill with steps only on lower 1/3 of the hill. Lake was filled with tall lake weeds, except for a 4-5 foot area close to shore. We could not go in the water the whole week due to blue-green algae. This cottage is good for someone that is only interested in looking at the water from a distance.

Why they chose this property

We saw the cottage and fell in love with the location and views. Honeoye Lake has a reputation for being a great fishing lake for walleye and bass.
