A good selection of restaurants allow you to enjoy both local (Catalan) , and french provincial, food; aswell as international cuisine. The area is also a thriving grape growing region, with many local vineyards. Outdoor cafes provide social life throughout the summer, often with live music.

Art & History: Based in the impressive history of France and Spain through the centuries, Ceret is surrounded by historic sites dating from the 13th to the 17th century, including Forts, Castles, and churches.
Ceret was home to many impressionist painters in the early 1900s, and has a wonderful visual arts personality. Picasso, Soutine, Braque, and many more are respresented at the Musee d'Art moderne in the Town. There are many contemporary artists working in the town today.
