Welcome to Alohawaii Properties by the Sea, a registered legal transient accommodations operator with license 90/BB-0013 and registration number GE-039-001-2928-01, TA-039-001-2928-01. We are delighted to share that we have been named the winner of the 2021 Best of Kailua Awards in the category of Vacation Rentals.

Our villa is located on a private beach lane within the exclusive Kailua Gardens estate and features a beautiful pool, hot tub, and Hawaiian gardens. It is equipped with air conditioning in every room, free WiFi, and a washer and dryer stocked with laundry detergent, fabric softener, and bleach. Hair dryers, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are also provided for your convenience. The outdoor area also includes a gas BBQ, bikes, boogie boards, coolers, beach chairs, mats, and towels.

The highlight of our villa is not only its stunning outdoor amenities, but also its prime location just a short walk down a private beach lane from Kailua Beach, recognized as one of the most beautiful beaches in the country. The calm waters, thanks to the coral reef just half a mile offshore, make it perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking. You can also spend hours walking along the beach, marveling at the stunning sunrise and moonrise over the ocean.

Great stay at Sunshine Suite
Nice access through park for sunrise/sunset beach walks and just enjoying Kailua beach & surf….short walk to Buzz’s for nice dinner. Enjoyed hot tub a couple evenings under moon surrounded by beautiful vegetation. The week on this side of island with rental Jeep was most enjoyable….trips up coast to Kualoa Ranch and all the way to Pipeline on North Shore. Sunshine Suite was perfect.

Great location
Loved being so close to Kailua Beach Park. Such a lovely beach. The Sunshine Suite overlooks a quiet courtyard with beautiful swimming pool. So peaceful. 1/2 hour walk into town or take the 671 bus 5-10 minutes. Steve’s a friendly host with lots of local advice. Would love to stay here again.

Hidden gem
Fantastic location across the street from one of the nicest beaches we’ve seen in Hawaii. Unit is cozy, clean and well equipped for a unit without a full kitchen. Beach chairs and umbrellas are great. Swimming pool is convenient. Owners are very helpful and friendly. Great choice for couple wanting a great location and not wanting to cook.

Steps to the beach.
Stayed in the sunshine suite. Just big enough for two people but worth it for the location. Toes in the water in 5 minutes. Kailua town is fun too.

Steve and I lived in Colorado for 10 years and had our first child. She was 3 months premature and weighed in at a whopping 1 pound!! When she turned one, she weighed almost 10 pounds. Her doctor said that she would grow if we moved her to a warmer climate.. that it was difficult for her to maintain a 98.6 degree body temperature without burning so many calories.

So, we moved to Hawaii.. with $500 in the bank and our little daughter. That was in December, 1979. And here we are 40 years later.

Our daughter has since married and moved back to Colorado and had two beautiful daughters. We had our son after moving to Hawaii. He married his high school sweetheart, and they now have 2 sons.
There's more to the story, so come and stay with us to hear the rest. We love our guests and have many repeat visitors to our lovely rentals.

Why they chose this property

We bought our house before it became a vacation rental. We owned a small travel agency and people were always asking if there was anywhere to stay other than Waikiki. So we decided to rent out some rooms in our home to accommodate our clients and to make a little extra money. There were no hotels in our town and the beach was just gorgeous. Little did we know that Kailua would become such a B&B mecca.

What makes this property unique

You will love the hospitality and service we provide our guests. The beach is absolutely gorgeous and the property is like walking into Shangri La. Steve's gardens are breathtaking and the pool is beautiful.
