Welcome to "Your Home Away From Home"! With multiple holiday stays provided, we are experienced at holiday letting and understand that it's the little things that make you stay enjoyable.
If you're stay is over the 2018 COMMONWEALTH GAMES, you'll be in the heart of all the action. Many games venues are within walking distance and if not, you are only 140m walk to the light rail station that will be linking many of the games venues together.
For example, if you're coming for the
- Hockey, it's a 3.3 km walk, same distance for the Athletes Village.
- Marathon, Swimming, Diving, Basketball, Netball Finals, Lawn Bowls - all these venues are within a short walk from the light rail line.
- Opening and Closing Ceremony, Track and Field, Badminton, Gymnastics, Gymnastics Rhythmic, Para Powerlifting, Weightlifting and Wrestling Boxing, Squash, Table Tennis Rugby Sevens - all these venues are accessible from the light rail with bus connections
WHERE IS IT LOCATED
Centrally located on the Gold Coast, "Your Home Away from Home" is located in the stunning suburb of Parkwood. Perfectly located within walking distance to the Gold Coast University Hospital and Griffith University. If you're staying to visit loved ones in hospital or a student, you're less than a 2km walk away,4 minute drive or there is a bus that can take you directly there.
Parkwood sits alongside one of the Coast's most famous venues - The Club @ Parkwood Village . Known for being the home training ground for the Gold Coast Titans NRL Football team, it also offers one of the best Golf Courses on the Gold Coast. The course is open to members and guests and has a pristine, par 71 Championship layout. The 18 hole, 6043 metre course is perfect for serious golfers, or for those looking for a social round with friends or family.
The Club @ Parkwood Village also caters for children with a 18 hole Mini Golf Couse and Kids Village - which is where they can play while you sit back and relax and enjoy a drink and meal. They even have Friday night and weekend stalls to tantalise your taste buds.
In the same complex is a Trampoline Park, Gym, and fitness swimming lane, so kids of all ages can have some fun! This is all within a 3km walking distance or a 6 minute drive.
HOW FAR AWAY FROM MAJOR ATTRACTIONS
Perhaps you want to visit the iconic theme parks? By public transport you can be at Wet n Wild or Sea World in under 45 minutes or Dreamworld in under an hour. By car, you can be at any of the parks between 15-25 minutes.
If shopping is more your style, you can catch the light rail to Pacific Fair and be there in under an hour, or Harbour Town in 45 minutes. By car 25 minutes or 10 minutes respectively.
With the introduction of the light rail which is suppose to be in full operation in early January, travel between Brisbane and Boradbeach is set to get even easier as there is a tram stop just 150m from your doorstep. So whether you're arriving on the Gold Coast by plane or car, travel to Your Home Away From Home is going to get even easier.

ABOUT YOU'RE HOME AWAY FROM HOME
Outside:
The home is situated on a large 1/4 acre battle-axe block with 100% privacy from all neighbouring houses. There is a large backyard for children to play with a near new fully enclosed trampoline, basketball hoop and basket ball for 1/2 court basketball, a tree house cubby and a fully fenced large kidney shaped pool with amazing pool toys for everyone to play and sun lounges for parents to relax and supervise.
Overlooking the pool is an outdoor entertaining area with a 8 piece dinning table and BBQ that is perfect for breakfast on a sunny morning, afternoon cocktails or having a drink while watching the kids in the pool.
The yard is fully fenced for children's safety, or if your bringing your family fur friend, their is plenty of safe space for them to explore.
There is ample secure off street parking if you are brining your own vehicle.
Inside:
Your Home Away From Home has 4 large bedrooms with the following configuration
Master Bedroom: Queen Bed with a fully renovated ensuite (still being completed, hence no photos at this stage) - Sleeps 2
Bedroom 2: Located next to the Master Bedroom, it has 1 x King Single and a Single Trundle - Sleeps 2
Bedroom 3: Located at the other end of the house, it has 1 x Double Bed - Sleeps 2
Bedroom 4: Also located at the other end of the house it has bunk beds - Sleeps 2
There is also an Porta Cot for young babies included in the house cost or for an additional $50p/s fee you can elect a wooden cot. Sleeps 1
For additional guests, there is a optional Queen foam mattress that can be place on the lounge room floor at night time. Sleeps 2.
Between bedroom 3 and 4 is another full size bathroom making the layout of this house perfect for 2 families with their own amenities at either end of the house.
The house has 2 living areas both with large leather lounge suits and large flat screen TV's. One has a DVD player and a large selection of children's DVD's for both boys and girls of all ages.
There is a large games room that features a pool table and bar for a fun night's entertainment, a children's play area with a play kitchen and all the toys for an elaborate tea party, a table and chairs for colouring in or art and craft, a box full of books to read and a plethora of girls and boys toys for all age groups.
This area also has a cross trainer and rowing machine, step, kettle bells, and a yoga mat should a morning fitness session be your thing.
The house features a large open play kitchen that is fully stocked with all the equipment required to cook and serve up to 10 guests, plus complementary tea and coffee making ingredients. 4 stylish bar stools line the generous kitchen bench for informal dining.
The Kitchen overlooks the Dining area that features a 6 place Blackwood dinning table and Blackwood dining chairs for the perfect dinner. You may choose to hire a high chair.
The home has fully ducted Air Conditioning and ceiling fans throughout all the rooms of the house meaning you'll enjoy your time in cooled comfort.
EVENTS:
If your stay is over the Christmas festive season, we can decorate the house in festive Christmas decorations including the Christmas tree.
GETTING TO YOUR HOME AWAY FROM HOME
Getting to your Home Away From Home is easy by public transport or your own transportation from either the Brisbane (Domestic or International) or Gold Coast (Domestic or International) Airports.
Public Transport:
From Brisbane Airport you can catch the Gold Coast Express Train to the Helensvale Station and then a bus to almost your doorstep, or within weeks you'll be able to catch the light rail to the Parkwood East stop which is just 200m from your doorstep.
From the Gold Coast Airport you can catch a Bus from the Airport to Broadbeach where you can hop on the light rail to the Gold Coast University Hospital, (however in just weeks this will take you all the way to Parkwood East Station). From there you can catch the bus or walk the 2km to your door.

Uber
There are many Airport transfer companies, so jump on Google or my not treat yourself to a Limo! Often it works out more economical that traditional transport, especially if your coming in a group.
Own Transport - Take Exit 66 (Smith Street) off the M1 and continue down Smith Street and take the Olsen Ave Exit or just follow the signs to the Griffith Uni Hospital. Take your first left onto Wintergreen Drive and then your first left onto Henry Cotton Drive - Easy!
Fur Friends:
We encourage you to bring you Fur Friend on holidays, we do however request that your dog remains outdoor. For the comfort of everyone's stay we wish to keep the house free of dog hair for those who may have allergies.
Should it be suspected that your dog has indeed been inside, we will require the carpets to be professionally cleaned at that will be at your expense.
Smoking: We do not permit smoking inside the house however smoking is permitted outside. We request that all debris be collected and placed into the wheelie bins provided.
While we encourage you to have a fun stay, your Home Away From Home is ..ABSOLUTELY NOT a Party House, therefore if you hold a Party, Group Function or Schoolies gathering at this premises, you will lose of your BOND.
Due to it being a residential area, we ask that you consider our neighbours and keep the noise at a respectful level after 10pm.
