About this property

The Low Head Beach House

Absolute beachfront... luxury beach house with stunning contemporary architecture located 40 minutes from Launceston. Its sleek architectural profile stands out among the sand dunes of Lagoon Beach in Low Head. Inside, walls of windows lap up the seaside views, while Tasmanian-produced art brings colour to the minimalist walls.

Three king bedrooms have picturesque views of Lagoon Bay, and their own en-suites, accommodating up to 3 couples. The second and third bedrooms also have king beds that can be split into two for a total of four king single beds.

Master bedroom has a luxurious king bed with walk-in soft close robes and drawers, a large stone dressing table and stone eco-smart fire. The master en-suite shares the fire and also has a luxurious Apaiser stone bath with water views, a double shower, stone vanity and stone tiles throughout.

The open plan living area is spacious with panoramic views of Lagoon Beach and historic Low Head Pilot Station, Café and Museum. A king modular lounge has its own day bed with great views and a 65 inch TV hidden behind a sliding panel above the stone fireplace. There is also a separate circular day bed in the floor to ceiling glass bay window with its own binoculars to explore passing ships and the spectacular views of Lagoon Beach.

A feature stringy bark dining table sits like a work of art in the centre of the room comfortably seating up to ten and can be extended for larger groups. The dining area also has spectacular views of Lagoon Bay and She Oak Lighthouse.

The contemporary kitchen is a gourmet's delight with a huge stone island bench, stone bench tops and a scullery kitchen with top European appliances. The twin fridge freezers are stocked with the basics, however you can also pre-order your own produce, local seafood and Tamar Valley wine with our manager. If you are looking for the ultimate dining experience, our private chef can also cater for couples and groups up to twenty. Ask about the Signature Dining Experience for the best in local food and wine!

Kayaks are complementary with both single and tandem models available. Lagoon Beach is a very safe swimming beach that is ideal for families and water sports such as sailing, stand-up paddle boarding, wind surfing and kite surfing if you bring your own equipment. Nearby East Beach is also suitable for surfing and long walks along the beach to climb the large sand dunes. Extensive paths run from the beach house all the way up to Low Head Lighthouse for walking and cycling.

Low Head Penguin Tours operate every evening for an up close and personal experience of the fairy penguins returning from the sea to feed their young.

Nearby wineries within 15 to 30 minutes drive east, include local icons like Bay of Fires, Arras, Delamere, Sinapius, Dalrymple, Piper's Brook, Kreglinger and Jansz. Tamar Ridge and several other cellar doors are also located within 30 minutes drive west, just across the Batman Bridge on the other side of the Tamar River.

Barnbougle Dunes and Lost Farm golf links courses are located within 45 minutes drive east, and are currently rated among the Top 50 Public Golf Courses in the world.

All guests are encouraged to wear slippers or bare feet to relax in beach front luxury.

Fantastic beautiful house for our group of friends who had an amazing relaxing stay for 3 nights. The views were just amazing, enjoyed watching the wind, clouds, rain, boats, and wombats in the most amazing open plan living area with the cosy glow of the fire in the background. Just Amazing!!

A Special Place
We had a relaxing four nights here that we absolutely loved. This is an exceptional vacation rental with an ever changing view of the inlet/waterway. The house was immaculate and stocked perfectly, the communication terrific and the peaceful location was so enjoyable. The furnishings are super comfortable and we appreciated the written instructions for appliances. If we return to Tasmania, we will certainly request a stay at this amazing Low Head property. Thank you to the hosts!!

A Serene Retreat with Breathtaking Views
Our stay at Low Head Beach House was an unforgettable experience. The sleek design and comfortable interiors provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. Waking up to panoramic views of the ocean was a daily delight, and the proximity to the beach allowed us to seamlessly transition from luxurious indoor living to the natural beauty of the shore. The attention to detail in both design and amenities made our stay truly exceptional. If you're looking for a modern, comfortable, and picturesque staycation, this beachfront retreat is a must-visit.

MOST AMAZING BEACH HOUSE ON THE PLANET.
Stayed for one night but wish we had booked for two. Spectacular views over the water and beach. Most luxurious beach house you could imagine. All the comforts of home and then some. Wonderful artwork. Full kitchen and superb heating. Stunning attention to detail in all aspects. Private and divine. Even has a boardwalk to the beach which is great for the kids. Check out the penguins just up the road. You will not be disappointed.
