About this property

Mother Earth - rural paradise close to Sydney

Mother Earth is your rural home from home.

Comprising of 5 bedrooms (4 of which we let), 2 bathrooms, a huge lounge, a snooker room, an extensive breakfast room and kitchen with all mod cons, a seperate pantry, a sun room and adjacent and updated laundry. This is now a 5 star residence for the executive couple or family getaway given we’ve invested extensively and updated all rooms including painting throughout, new carpets in all rooms, new kitchen ceaserstone bench tops, new ensuites and new curtains in the main lounge and bedrooms.

A booking fee covers the master bedroom only as all other bedrooms are locked off unless reserved by paying the additional guest fee.

Expansive rural views create an ideal holiday ambiance and the pool, snooker room and golf driving net are designed to suit the avid sportsman. The front garden and side gardens are also fully fenced so pets can roam and the sun room provides an ideal reading area and entrance to a BBQ / entertaining patio.

Linen, towells and basic amenities are all provided, albeit at a minor fee per stay, and we are 5 minutes to the Round Corner shops and restaurants and only 45 mins to the harbour bridge. A garage is also close by and within a 5 minute walk for emergencies and it’s typically open until 10pm. However, what makes this property popular is that The Fig Coffee house (2017 winner of the Hills best Cafe) and Mother Earth Nursery are on the same block of land so your morning breakfast and afternoon tea is just a few steps away and its easy to therefore contact me direct (ask for Tim) if you wanted to view beforehand?

Pieceful and yet close to both Kenthurst as well as Castle Hill's huge shopping complex, including cinema's, local restaurants and Cafes. Local art galleries and garden centres are within walking distance and it is also close to Rosehill Race course, Castle Hill golf club, local pony clubs, tennis courts, nurseries and nature walks etc to suit both the keen shopper and / or sports person.

Mother Earth can be booked for short or long term stays and the bedroom availability is negotiable based on your needs and budget from two to up to ten people.

It is also ideal for insurance bookings whilst a house is being repaired or built and the owner is therefore negotiable for longer term rentals.

It's also ideal for a wedding / birthday occassion for family and / or friends (refer this u-tube video: https://youtu.be/j4qtlzqJ5kw).

Please note that the owner occasionally needs access to the Master bedroom, associated en-suite and walk in robe which are locked off at the bottom of the house and never rented out and only if agreed by the tenant. This has a seperate private entry so it is not intrusive and tenants state they are typically unaware of my rare occupation. I also always sms in advance with aprox arrival and departure times but this is, as stated, always negotiable.

Great property and wonderful host
We booked the property as we were getting married nearby. Tim was wonderful to deal with and very accomodating when we mentioned we would have a couple more guests over with our morning tea ceremony. The house is beautiful and spacious. Would recommend if you are getting married in the area or if you want a big enough holiday house for a getaway. Such a delightful stay! Thank you Tim!

Good house, poor host
This had been the worst experience I've had with a host. Two main issues highlight this: Check-in was meant to be 2pm however we hadn't received any information up to that day. Starting in the morning we'd attempted to contact Tim to confirm details, however he was unreachable for the entirety of the day. We reached out to Stayz to assist however same with us, they had no luck reaching him. At around 6pm we'd finally heard back from Tim, with instructions of where the key was located. On top of this, on arrival there were around 10-15 full garbage bags left at the entry gate by who we assumed was the previous guest group. We'd notified Tim and requested it be cleared. He replied the following day by saying his contacts are on holiday so instead, asked that our group resolve the issue for a fee. These two issues are unacceptable and we will not be staying here again. Unfortunately looking at previous negative reviews, Tim will likely take little responsibility for the poor service and will deflect any wrongdoing. Outside of this, the house itself was quite good. Extremely close to the local shops and very spacious.

Short Stay
The house was lovely and big. Highlights are the pool table and the pool was great for the children. Impressed that the place had ducted air. Things that need to be improved on is the kitchen dishes should always be washed as we found plates with mould on them. General house was clean. Loads of cob webs. Though bbq was mentioned it was needing a really deep scrub. Pool was definitely needing to have creepy crawly put in to pick up muck from bottom of pool. Location was wonderful it had a lovely feel of country but close enough to amenities that it made it feel like you were just enough disconnected. We overall had such a wonderful visit Thank you very much Julie Spellmore

Mini Sydney Staycation
Overall, we really enjoyed our mini staycation at this property located in Kenthurst. Although the property is located in metro Sydney, it felt like a mini getaway outside of Sydney with lots of lush greenery. The location is very ideal for a getaway in Sydney as nearby convenient shops in Castle Hill towers. There is a lovely cafe conveniently next to the property too! The host was most accommodating and helpful. Loved the artwork throughout the property. It really is a special place for a small group of friends or family.

About the host

Host profile image
I'm a businessman that has developed a property portfolio that encompasses a Cafe (The Fig Coffee House), A Nursery (Mother Earth Nursery), a holiday home (3 Oaks), a cottage (Plum Cottage) and a country residence (Mother Earth) all of which that I manage and rent out.

This particular property residence (Mother Earth) is typically rented out for long week ends or for family holidays and / or to families that are undertaking extensive renovations or who's property has been damaged. Insurance companies often negotiate direct.

Why they chose this property

This property fulfills a multitude of requirements given its location (close to many suitable wedding venues and sporting facilities), its size, the facilities available, the fact it is pet friendly and it's proximity to both the city and Castle Hill.

What makes this property unique

Swimming pool, snooker room, golf net, open fire, chefs cuisine, superb rural views and 2 minute walk to The Fig Coffee House and Mother Earth Nursery.
