Summary:
If you’re looking for good old-fashioned comfort in a prime position, this is it. A charming, beautifully maintained, art deco home set in one of Barwon Heads most accessible streets – just a stone’s throw from all the good stuff.

Its homely, slightly rustic exterior belies an interior that has been lovingly cared for over decades. With lots of delightful period features this three-bedroom home has everything you need and also offers a delightful rear patio and garden for “alfresco” enjoyment.

The Space:
There are three bedrooms, two Queen beds and one double bed. The internal bathroom has shower, toilet and spa bath. Just outside there is a laundry and second shower and toilet room.

There is a lovely garden/outdoor entertaining and bbq area at the rear of the house.

Guest Access:
All parts of the house are accessible to guests.

The Neighborhood:
Barwon Heads is a delightful coastal village located at the mouth of the Barwon River, 22 kilometres south-east of Geelong, and just across the river from its twin beachside town, Ocean Grove. Both are extremely popular coastal resorts offering beautiful beach holiday rentals, magnificent surf beaches on the doorstep of Bass Strait, safe family-friendly beaches along the river, unlimited sporting choices, and bustling town centres with every shopping and dining option you need.

A short car trip will deliver you to some of Victoria’s finest wineries and craft breweries, outstanding regional restaurants, the urban delights of Geelong, and the popular surfcoast towns of Queenscliff, Point Lonsdale, Torquay, Anglesea and Lorne – and, of course, the iconic Great Ocean Road.

Among the major annual festivals and events in the area are the Victorian Open Golf Championship at 13th Beach, the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race, the Queenscliff Music Festival, Geelong’s Toast To The Coast festival, the Rip To River fun run, and Barwon Heads’ Festival Of The Sea. Wonderful stay!
This was a wonderful house for our family holiday. With 3 little kids, the house was clean, safe and a short stroll from the Main Street, playground and river.

Easter break
We had a lovely stay. House was great. Had everything we needed and lovely garden for Easter egg hunt. We could walk to the shops and the beach. Host was easy to communicate with.

Really good stay, but some negatives to be mindful of.
We mostly enjoyed our stay, very close to main street, easy walking to shops and restaurants. We really liked the deco features and the living and kitchen areas. The outdoor area was tastefully designed, had outdoor furniture and was a lovely spot to relax in. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. The bedrooms, inside bathroom and entrance were not heated at all, and there was no electric heaters to use to warm these spaces. Had we stayed during the warmer months this would not have been a problem. We stayed in late September and the temperatures were getting down around 9 degrees in the morning. The house description mentioned central heating, but the only heating we could find was a split system and a wood fired heater. Both were located in the living room, and heated this area and the kitchen well. Unfortunately for us this was not capable of heating the three bedrooms, main entrance area and the inside bathroom. Had we known that these areas were not heated we would have brought our own portable panel heaters. There was no mention of a wood fire heater, and no provision of wood for the first night. It would be helpful if the house description includes these details in the future. Also, the toilet in the bathroom could be improved with a toilet roll holder.

Lovely little White house
Lovely, clean, and comfortable property in heart of Barwon Heads, I just wish linen and towels were included in the price. The backyard was so cute, the garden was beautiful to sit outside and have some nibbles and a drink.
