The Ledge @ Peterborough is a modern four bedroom home which caters comfortably for up to 8 people with everything you need for a restful holiday.
Peterborough is one of the best kept secrets along the Great Ocean Road and is a tranquil and unspoilt coastal town. "The Ledge" is approximately 120 metres from Wild Dog Cove which is a protected bay perfect for exploring, swimming, diving (either snorkel or tanks) and has an abundance of fish and shell fish.
Accomodation comprises four bedrooms, master with king size bed, two queen size rooms and the fourth has two single beds. All rooms have built in robes. The generous family bathroom is modern with huge walk in shower and a relaxing bath. The front of the house is warmed and cooled with a reverse cycle air conditioner.
At the back of the house is the large north facing open plan family living area. The lounge has ample seating and a wood fire heater and opens via three panel slide aside glass doors onto the deck with views across farmland to the Curdies River. The deck is a lovely sunny place to relax and watch the children play on their own fort and slide. There is also a BBQ for your enjoyment. The modern kitchen has a central island bench and breakfast bar together with double sink, dishwasher and 5 burner gas cooktop and large electric oven. The kitchen overlooks the dining area with an eight seater dining table.
The laundry has a washing machine and dryer and separate toilet.
Outside, the property is fully enclosed which means the children are safe, there is an outside shower for after beach swims and off street parking for your boat. We DO NOT accept pets at The Ledge.
Peterborough has a fabulous cliff top walk which winds its way west towards the Bay of Martyrs. There is a seaside 9 hole golf course, local tennis courts and playground with BBQ facilities all within walking distance.
This part of the world is a fishermans paradise where you can fish the Curdies River or Lake system by boat or land for bream and mulloway. Launch your sea vessel at the amazing steep boat ramp and head out to the deep for snapper and tuna. Or fish the surf for whiting, flathead and salmon.
The iconic 12 Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge, Gibson Steps and other attractions are a short 20 minute drive along the Great Ocean Road. Once you have visited these don't forget to take in the 12 Apostles Gourmet Trail which features G.O.R.G.E Chocolates, Apostle Whey Cheese, Timboon Fine Ice Cream and the delicious meals at Timboon Railway Shed Distillery to mention but a few.
Port Campbell is a 7 minute drive along the GOR and has many restaurants and eateries to visit.
