Our Studio is a small yet stunning and beguiling retreat, a blissful sanctuary with beautiful ensuite and separate kitchenette. It is a rare luxurious haven in quiet North Bondi, high on a hill, with your own private inclinator (lift) which takes you to your home in Sydney. We are totally quiet and secluded, located away from the hustle and bustle of Bondi Beach, yet we are just a gentle 10 minute walk away. And you have ample guaranteed parking. Remember that parking in the Bondi Beach area is very very difficult unless expressly offered, and it is very very expensive.

We go out of our way to make our guests feel at home and many of our bookings are now repeat guests whom we delight in welcoming over and over again.

Our views are spectacular and although you don't have views from your Studio, when coming up to the Studio, we have stunning, amazing, 270 degree views of Bondi Beach and further, all the way round to the city. From your Studio, you do not look onto a mass of other properties and flats. You are surrounded by plush greenery all around your patio.

We warmly invite you to experience our unique hospitality but you have to book well in advance since we are booked out most of the time.

OUR EXTRAS

We offer a range of distinctive facilities not usually offered by other listings.

How would you like to arrive with pre-paid public bus/train cards all ready to use? We have cards here waiting for you because no public transport accepts cash anymore. We can even mail you cards so you have them on arrival here in Sydney.

Local cellphone number? Either buy your own simcard at the airport (about $20 for talk time and data), or rent ours for $10 for the duration of your stay. If you come from a country with a different system, we can offer you a phone with local number and access to data and internet for your whole stay.

Netflix, WiFi, Sonos System with Spotify unlimited music selection.

Umbrellas in case of rain? Yep.

TRANSPORT
Is fantastically simple - Bus 379 is 2 minutes from the Studio and it gets you to the city in about 25 minutes. The Metro (train service) is 15 minutes from the Studio, also on bus 379. In addition, and there are several other bus lines just 4 minutes away too!

NEW NEW. Thanks to the adventurousness of one of our guests, there is a gorgeous and easy and picturesque way to get to the city. Take bus 380 (4 minutes away) to Watson's Bay, then take the FERRY to Circular Quay in the city, taking in the sights of Sydney's East and the Harbour and the Bridge, and the Opera House, all from the ocean.

PARKING. And if you are coming by car, there is ample unlimited, unmetered parking right outside the Studio at all times of the day or night. This is one of our main attractions. Parking in Bondi Beach proper is very very expensive and very very difficult to find and there you can expect to spend considerable time just finding a parking spot and be prepared to walk a considerable distance back to your accommodation there.

AMENITIES NEARBY
There is a laundry service, convenience store, pharmacy, medical facility, Vintage Cellars and several trendy wonderful cafes/eateries, all less than a 5 minute stroll away.

Bondi Beach promenade, which is full of restaurants, supermarkets, bars etc is just an 10 minute stroll away. The choice of restaurants is staggering, with all cuisines catered for, from magnificent formal sit-down eateries, to take away specialities. Asian, Australian, French, Mediterranean, Middle-Eastern eateries abound just off the beach - choose your pick!

Summary
Our Studio is small & contained, a single large room with separate well-appointed bathroom & separate small but lovely kitchenette. People have found it perfect as holiday accommodation especially since guests come to Sydney to get out a lot and eat out a lot. Small as we are, we are exquisite, of the highest quality, in a modern, very upmarket and highly sought-after area, with beautiful finishes and attention to detail. We are surrounded by magnificent and graceful homes, and plush greenery and absolute quiet and tranquility awaits you when you come back home after touring. Our ambience and modern tasteful finishes will spoil you and a heavenly shower with an enormous shower-head is the piece de resistance.

Expect bird symphonies mornings and evenings, with colourful parakeets, impudent cockatoos, and curious kookaburras all announcing their presence.

I take great pride in my engagement with hosting and I normally go out of my way to ensure that guests have all their reasonable needs met.

TRANSPORT FROM THE AIRPORT
We are about 25 minutes away from the airport by car and there is ample unlimited, unmetered street parking in front of the Studio when you get here. This is a BIG plus - ample unlimited unmetered street parking. Remember that parking in Bondi Beach proper is expensive and very difficult to find. You might spend a long time finding a parking place and you may have to walk quite far to find it in the first place.

Public transport is very very quick and easy. Take the airport train to Central Station (about 25 minutes). Then another train (on platform 24) to Bondi Junction (about 12 minutes). Then take bus 379 From Bondi Junction Train Station to North Bondi and get off corner Hardy Street and Murriverie Road (15 minutes).
Walk one block up Hardy and first right into Clyde Street - about 300 metres up the road.

THERE IS A CLOSER BUS STOP, ONLY 1 MINUTE AWAY FROM THE STUDIO, but I'll explain where when you get here, for you to use in future.

Door to door from the airport by public transport is usually less than 1 hour.
Airport pickup is possible but needs arranging beforehand.

ACCESS TO YOUR HOLIDAY HOME
From the road to the house, you enter via the inclinator (lift) - your own private funicular car - or by stairs (which is what we usually use). You then have your private access to the Studio via your own private courtyard. This private courtyard is shared with guests from our adjacent sister suite, but from our experience over the last 3 years, guests very very rarely bump into one another.

INTERACTION WITH GUESTS
I'm known as a friendly and easy going person (I hope I am – I work as a psychotherapist), and I’m usually happily available for assistance or advice if needed. When guests have asked for anything, I have gone out of my way to accommodate them. I’m sometimes available for a coffee and a chat - with suggestions on where to go and what to do, but if guests want privacy, I totally stay away from any interaction.

GENERAL
Nothing else to note really. Easy transport (bus 379, which is just 90 seconds away, which goes to the city), wonderful amenities just minutes away, and beach beach and sun and walks and excitement. And parking (yes, I'm stressing that).

OUR NEIGHBOURHOOD
North Bondi is very trendy and we are about 3 minutes away from one of the newest and trendiest coffee shops and eatery around, SHUK, always full and alive and exciting. It is a very safe area from a personal safety and theft point of view. In 20 years, we have never had an incident and personally, we often go out and leave out house unlocked. BUT WE ARE OBLIGED TO ASK YOU TO TAKE ALL PRECAUTIONS AND LOCK YOUR DOOR WHENEVER YOU DO GO OUT. We accept no responsibility for any loss or damage of whatsoever nature.

North Bondi is different from Bondi Beach inasmuch as guests have a choice of a quiet stay, or whether they want to be part of the very lively and noisy Bondi Beach scene, just minutes away. So if you might want solitude and quiet, our place is for you. And if you want the excitement of Bondi Beach, remember it is about 8 minutes walk to the beach strip, where you will find restaurants, bars and entertainment galore.
For even more variety, take bus 379, seconds away, to Bondi Junction which is an important hub in the Eastern Suburbs, with numerous supermarkets, department stores, eateries, bars, entertainment, cinemas and so on.
From Bondi Junction Train Station, you can get to almost anywhere in the greater Sydney area via the Underground/Train service

Great Bondi stay
Wonderful place to stay within a short walk of all the amenities of Bondi beach. Michael is a very attentive and helpful host. We would definitely stay there again if in that area again

Perfect Getaway!
Michael’s place is the perfect spot for a getaway to Sydney. It is in a wonderful location, close to some great cafes and a short walk to the main strip in Bondi. Michael was so welcoming and helpful, right through from when we booked online until we checked out. We highly recommend staying here. We will be back!

Because we know of no other property in our price range which offers anywhere near what we offer in terms of position, luxury, quietness and solitude, beautiful surroundings and just exquisite ambience.

What makes this property unique

The unique benefits are the amazing views which you get when you come up to the house, before going to your studio which is at the back of the house.

And you get to ride our spectacular inclinator (it really is spectacular), in order to reach your studio. The inclinator (funicular-type car) takes you up the hill-side to get to the top. There are stairs which we use all the time but for groceries and luggage
