About this property

Camelot is a fully furnished yurt themed after the mythical Arthurian legend.

Camelot is a 24' diameter blue exterior Yurt decorated like the mythical castled city Camelot in Arthurian legend. This Yurt features a full bathroom with shower, AC, heat, WIFI throughout the property and a 40" flat screen TV. A castle wall separates the main area from the bathroom and two swords dawning the wall to keep you safe. There are two comfortable beds, a Queen and Full size, and you can gaze upon the stars as you fall asleep underneath a dome sky light. Sit at the knight's round table for a perfect place to work and eat. A private 8' x 10' covered deck is a wonderful place to relax surrounded by our gardens full of serene flowers, trees and plants.

Complimentary breakfast is served up hot and made fresh every morning with an assortment of teas, coffee, water and juice. We offer Gluten and Vegan options on request. We love to bring a unique Yurt bed & breakfast experience to all our guests.

Yurtel-Veneta is located close to 8 different wineries with spectacular views, food, entertainment, and tasting rooms. Located 10 miles from Eugene and an hour drive to the beautiful Oregon coast. Once you have stayed in a round Yurt, everywhere else just seems square.

Cute & Comfy in Veneta
Clever decor of the yurts carries over to the garden and path connecting the three yurts with the hospitality center (check in there). DON'T think camping tents! These are well-appointed with comfy queen beds, full bath with plenty of plush towels, mini fridge and large TV. We look forward to staying in each differently-decorated yurt on future visits!

Lovely Owners - Fantastic Stay
The owners are a wonderful couple who are very sweet and hospitable. The road noise is a bit much since it is a yurt and not "insulated" per se. They offer complimentary ear plugs though and I slept great. Would recommend and stay again.

Quick stop
We had a delightful time in the Yurt and were pleasantly surprised with the breakfast food. They cater to you and make you feel like you’re a part of family. Highly recommend a stay here.

Very clean and beautiful
The hosts were very gracious and sweet. Offering us wine and conversation at night (unfortunately we had to pass as we were exhausted) and offering a breakfast that kept my food sensitivities in mind. The yurts couldn't have been any cleaner or cozier. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom and shower roomy. The stunning garden was unexpected and added a peaceful ambiance to the grounds The ONLY negative was the extreme road noise BUT the hosts provided ear plugs so I was eventually able to sleep.

Hi, we are Jim and Patricia Haddock. We have been married for 48 years and call Veneta our home since 2004. Yurtel-Veneta is our retirement dream. We hope you like what we have built and love to bring a unique and memorable Yurt experience to all our guests.

Why they chose this property

We bought this land as an investment property and had leased it for11 years. We decided to do something ourselves and the idea of a bed and breakfast with themed Yurts was born. The city of Veneta desperately needed overnight lodging and obtaining the permits was a lengthy and arduous process. On September 1st 2016, all the building and Health Department permits finally were approved and we officially began building our dream.

What makes this property unique

This the first fully furnished with bathroom themed Yurts as part of a bed and breakfast, in Oregon, in the US, and maybe the world.
