McLardy Island Retreat - 5 McLardy Crt Cowes

Located in the highly sought after area east of Cowes, McLardy Island Retreat is a perfect mix of comfort and luxury situated in a relaxed court setting.

Situated just 400m from Cowes front beach and walking distance to the tennis courts, golf club, football oval, lovers walk, skate park and main street of Cowes, you can leave your car at home and relax into true island time.

The home is situated over 3 levels with beautiful raked ceilings and natural light. It has two air conditioners to keep you cool during the hotter months and a cosy Coonara gas log heater for winter. With five bedrooms, this home can comfortably fit up to 4 couples, with an additional bunk room and 2 single beds.

There are two separate living areas, each with its own flat screen TV and Blu-Ray player and another smaller sitting room downstairs. Free WiFi is also available for our guests

Keep the kids entertained with Play Station 3 and Wii consoles (limited games supplied) as well as a table tennis table, pool table and 2 bikes and boogie boards for your convenience. A large selection of DVD's for both the adults and kids are supplied for your entertainment.

There is an partially covered outdoor dining area and barbeque for those warm summer nights.

All bed linen and bath towels are provided for up to 12 guests.

Bed Configurations are as follows:

- 3 x queen rooms (queen bed only)
- 1 x double room (1 x double bed and 1 x single bed)
- 1 x bunk room (1 single bunk set + separate single bed)

The house has two bathrooms with the upstairs bathroom consisting of a full size bath, separate shower and double basins. A separate toilet is also located upstairs. The 2 downstairs bedrooms share another bathroom which has a shower and toilet

A high chair is also available for young children

Well behaved pets are welcome but are strictly not permitted on beds, couches or other furnishings.

The double garage houses the small pool table plus room for one car. The pool table can be easily moved to accommodate two cars and there is plenty of onsite parking in the drive way

Strictly no schoolies groups or applicants under 21. Large party groups are strictly prohibited and any contravention of these conditions will result in guests being asked to leave.

Family getaway
The perfect property for our family getaway. A room for each couple and beds to spare which would be perfect for future use as more grandchildren come. Close enough to the beach and the main street to walk but far enough to create the quiet haven feels. Highly recommend this property.

My wife and I and our 3 kids currently reside in Surrey Hills with weekend sport taking up most of our free time. We both work full time and like nothing better than coming down to the Island (when sport permits) to relax and walk along the beach, enjoy a glass of wine or have fish and chips on the beach. We love entertaining and having friends over and this house allows us to do both.

Why they chose this property

After renting houses on the Island over 3 or 4 years, we fell in love with the area as it has so much to do and has some of the most amazing beaches whether it's the placid front beach in Cowes or the surf beaches of Smith's Beach and Woolamai. We can walk to the beach in 5 mins or walk into town for a coffee in 10 mins. This is our home away from home where we will eventually retire and pass on to our kids and grand kids. It is a real family home set up for multiple families to enjoy together.

What makes this property unique

There is nothing like sitting on the back deck to enjoy the warm sun and look out over the garden. The street is very quite which allows kids to play outside without fear of traffic.
The house is split over 3 levels which separates the two sleep areas and the main kitchen and lounge area.
