Beautiful 2bdrm Waterfront Cottage on Bogue Sound.

"The Cottage" on Bogue Sound is the perfect getaway for those who want privacy, but lots to do within a few minutes drive. Atlantic Beach, Morehead City Waterfront or Emerald Isle are only 15 to 20 minutes away. You will enjoy the prettiest and cleanest beaches the east coast has to offer.
If you just need to relax and recharge, the view of Bogue Sound is amazing. Lots of activity on the water. Fish jumping, Herons hunting for food and shrimp boats working their nets are all everyday attractions. In the fall the sunsets are breathtaking! You may even want to try your hand at clamming right out of the front door! While you are in this area you should explore Fort Macon, Cape Lookout and the Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores. The village of Ocracoke is just a ferry ride away!
Binoculars are provided to bring wild life and other attractions "up close". Sail boats make a parade south in the fall to escape the winter chill. It is so interesting to see what state or country they are from. Hope to see you soon!

Nice Water Views, Quiet Location
Great stay with friends. Was nice to get away from work and busy city life. The location was quiet and we enjoyed the water views from the kitchen and living room windows. We enjoyed sitting in chairs overlooking the bay. Everything was clean inside. The host provided plenty of towels, coffee supplies, and even bottled water. The host also communicated well. The waterfront is full of clams and is not suitable for swimming or walking, but Fort Macon public beach access was fairly close and we drove over there to walk on the sand and soak our feet. Few more things to note: there were huge bumblebees right at the front door entrance trying to make a nest the entire stay and it was difficult to get in and out, especially since one of us is allergic to bee/wasp stings. We understood that it was the season for that and it’s part of nature, but would recommend hanging some type of trap for them. There was also no cooking knives to prepare our food, only butter knives, unless we just couldn’t find them but we searched everywhere. We ended up buying a knife in a local store but that wasn’t a big deal. Overall, we had a great stay and still gave the place five stars. Would definitely stay again.

My 65 birthday get away
Everything was perfect. Very clean. Our Host thought of everything. We didn't cook much but I found the kitchen was well equipped. The location was very quiet. We would highly recommend this cute place.
