Great location
We had a wonderful time staying at this property. The 8 sleeping cabins and main cabin were able to easily accommodate our large group with multiple families. It was a short 15 minute drive to Sun Peaks so we were able to ski during the day and relax and cook in the evening. The view and location are excellent.

A bitter end
We were a large group 24 adults and 10 children ,we had a great time, place was clean,Everything was fine, property as described. The only thing that we didnt like is that the inspection of the cabins was made after we left and the property owner send us photos of the damages, claiming to be holding our deposit, for 3 issues. She send us photos as proof, for only 2 of the issues( one we noticed as we were there) but the other 2 were very missleading and not very clear.Overall we felt that they took advantage of us and wanted more money to hold ..i mean 350$ for 3 drywall anchors seems a bit to much,no?

Amazing Experience!!
We held a small wedding at the property and it was nothing short than amazing. The guest house had everything we needed and more. Lots of space and the lighting was magical on our day! The cabins are cute and cozy and accommodated our family very well! Hillary answered all my questions in a timely fashion and was available during our entire stay. I will be recommending Epona Rise Retreat to everyone!

Great setup for multi family groups
Our group had a wonderful time at the property. There were 4 families in our group, each family had their own cabin and space. The main cabin was amazing and we really enjoyed being able to all sit down for evening meals at the huge table. Easy drive to Sun Peaks, less than 15 mins. I recommend this property for multi family groups. It was wonderful having separate sleeping accommodation allowing everyone to be together yet still have personal space. Kitchen space was excellent, cabins were well laid out and clean. Owners were a pleasure to deal with from the start of our booking to the end of our stay.

About the host

Hosted by Hillary Schneider

Host profile image
Greetings! I am Hillary Schneider, a small business owner who recently purchased this beautiful property. I fell in love with the 80 acres of valley fields as a haven for my herd of rescue horses, my friendly dogs and quirky chickens. I am an animal lover, nature enthusiast, entrepreneur and now, host!

As an added bonus to running my own business from my home on-site, I am thrilled that my cozy guest cabins and great lodge offer space for serene getaways, transformative retreats, adventurous holidays, and lively celebrations.

To ensure you will be delighted as you plan your visit, I have hired a small hospitality team who will provide fast, friendly and fabulous answers to any questions you may have and ensure your stay with us is spectacular.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with the beauty of this valley and the lodge that was built here in 2009. We thought it was the ideal space in nature to create a unique opportunity for ourselves and those travelling here to experience the Canadian wilderness and be reminded of the majesty of nature and the mountains. We absolutely love living here and playing host to the many different groups that come and stay here.

What makes this property unique

The property is remote and private, while still easily accessible to both Sun Peaks, Kamloops and some other beautiful natural features of interior British Columbia. Along with a stunning view of the Heffley Creek Valley and Tod Mountain, our property has almost every modern amenity to host a large group for a private getaway.
