This beautifully appointed appartment is set at the end of the road with no passing traffic amid green parklands and foreshores of the magic Wallaga Lake, overshadowed by the Gullaga Mountain, which is reflected in its waters.
Wildlife is abundant, and the Kangaroos are friendly and are free to graze through neighbouring properties. It features the Montreal Goldfields adjoining the property and walks and exploring the area are welcome, as are visits to beaches and other lakes, all within walking distance. Many people explore climbing up known marked pathways, to the top of Gullaga, to discover old goldmining diggings.
Owner has published her own book on goldmining on Mount Dromedary, with 1000 historic photographs are featured, a famous collection, discover the famous mountain where gold was discovered at the end of the nineteenth century, the beautiful aboriginal sacred Gullaga Mountain, Dromedary, where breathtaking views up and down the coast can be seen and photography is a must.
Central Tilba and Tilba Tilba, are famous for gold mining and cheese and dairy production which is carried on to this day, and you can spend a day or two exploring these fascinating historic towns which are famous the world over.
Daily tours are conducted of Montreal Goldfields, adjoining. Our beaches are amongst the best in the world and fishing, surfing, canoeing, whale watching, deep sea fishing excursions can be booked as is a trip to the Montague Island, where the wildlife (especially the penguins) is facinating and abundant. You can be quiet and secluded, or extremely active and sociable, which ever is your choice. Lots of places to eat out nearby.
There is a brewery round the corner, where you can relax with a selection of varieties of beer and hamburgers and light meals.
There are numerous art galleries and wineries in the area, and there is a widely variable array of events and attractions, such as Tilba Festival, (Easter Saturday) Bermagui Seaside Fair, Narooma Oyster Festival and Cobargo Four Winds Folk Festival, and much much more to do and see. Be active or lazy, there's an interesting array of books. The owner is a top artist/historian/author on the south coast and can show you great places to go.
