Know what you are renting
The great things about the home included: laundry, beach gear, internet speed, storage, towels and the place was bigger than expected. The kitchen had almost everything needed. As a tea drinker a kettle would have been lovely and the can opener needs to be replaced.
There were, unfortunately, a number of things that made our stay uncomfortable. The ice maker did not work and made a significant noise when turned on. The lights over the stove did not work which made cooking in the evenings more challenging. The gas burners on the left side of the stove often took a minute to ignite. We understood there would likely be a musty smell and were pleased it was mostly contained to the stairwell. The dehumidifier certainly worked but was quite loud. An additional blanket or two would have been appreciated. Flashlights could be provided in the unit for power outages.
The biggest struggle for us, as you were aware, was the smell in the large bathroom. We appreciated you coming out in our first week to deal with it. Thankfully, the sewer smell became mostly contained to the bathroom. As we let you know the smell was continuing, we did have an expectation you would deal with it further.
The roof leak is a concern and we hope it can be addressed. We were glad we could deal with the smoke alarm going off in the unit below us. If it had continued we could not have stayed.
