About this property

Flinders House-Two Bed R /Two Bath R Family Apartment /Car Parking in CBD

This fantastic apartment in a prime location in Melbourne's CBD on Flinders Lane! It's great that it's in a heritage building with all those modern amenities like stainless steel appliances, dishwasher, and air conditioning. The thick walls for stable temperatures year-round are a nice touch too. Plus, having two bedrooms and bathrooms is convenient for up to 4 people. The fact that it's fully furnished, including linen, towels, and toiletries, makes it a comfortable home away from home. The complimentary WiFi and lift service are definitely added bonuses for a convenient stay. Car Parking available onsite on request for a Fee. Car Parking Must be requested on Booking and can't be organised on the day of Checking In.

Great location in CBD
Great apartment on Flinders Lane. Walking distance to everything in Melbourne and easy access to trams and trains to go further afield. Peter was easily contacted and hand over of keys to apartment was a smooth operation. Big enough for 4adults and comfortable.

Great Location and space
Thank you Peter, your apartment was great. We had fantastic time being in the centre of the buzz, that is Melbourne. Everything literally at our doorstep. Shops one way and river the other way. Bed and linens very comfortable and apartment spacious and well appointed. Communication with Peter easy and he was very responsive to queries. Great information folder in apartment of what to do in local area and greater area of Melbourne. We will definitely stay again and will recommend to others. Cheers T

Great location- but needs air con
The location was fantastic. The size of the apartment great. Everything you need in apartment. Air con is one porta cooler in the Lounge room. This broke down on Christmas Eve. Sweltering! These things need regular maintenance. Need to invest in split system or even put fans in room. Melbourne does get hot in summer so this is a must.

If you want peace and quiet, you won't get it here
While the location of the apartment was central and ideal overall we were disappointed with the apartment. Just little things like the blind on one window being broken so the apartment was always half in darkness, to the appallingly creaky floor boards, the hair and washing powder all over the bathroom floor when we arrived, the broken shower door, food crumbs on the sheets in the fold out bed (not our crumbs!) And it was so noisy! We could hear people all around us flushing their toilets (twice each night was just too much to bear) to walking on their own creaky floor boards. Plus, although wifi was advertised as available it never was, even after we contacted management about it. Made it difficult for us confirming appointments, forward bookings etc. We had a good time in the city but I wish we had stayed somewhere else.

Why they chose this property

It's fascinating to hear about the history of the property at 238 Flinders Lane, dating back to the 1900s when craftsmanship was truly valued in construction. The fact that the main walls of the building are 2.5 feet thick is impressive – not only does it add a sense of historical charm, but it also serves as a great sound barrier, ensuring a peaceful and quiet living environment despite being located in the bustling heart of Melbourne CBD. The combination of heritage charm and modern convenience must make it a unique and desirable place to stay.

What makes this property unique

Its a gem of a location here! Being just a short walk from Flinders Street station and Federation Square, and surrounded by Melbourne's iconic laneways like Degraves St and Centre Place, must offer a vibrant city experience. The convenience of being within the Free Tram Zone and close to major attractions like NGV, MCG, and the Yarra River is fantastic for both tourists and business travelers. Having easy access to public transport, grocery stores, cafes, and restaurants right at your doorstep is a real bonus. The fully self-contained unit with all those amenities like free Wi-Fi, TV, washer/dryer, and electric wall heater must make for a comfortable and convenient stay.
