Welcome to SOL MATE, a freshly re-decorated 4BR/4.5BA charming first tier beach beauty! Located within easy walking distance to the Island center and with direct beach access just a few steps across the street, SOL MATE is the perfect match for your next family beach vacation!

As you enter this one-level home, you are welcomed onto an open floor plan with a spacious living area, fully stocked kitchen and dining area with bar. The Gulf front living room is a comfortable gathering place for the family to prepare for the days beach activities while overlooking the shimmering waters of the Gulf of Mexico. This room boasts an impressive 70" flat screen TV with blu-ray player and surround sound. An extensive movie library is available for any rainy days and a Queen sleeper sofa offers additional sleeping space for up to 2.

The kitchen has been equipped with brand-new stainless appliances, has a dedicated pantry closet and an Island/breakfast bar which makes meal prep easy and convenient. 3 bar stools provide additional seating while the large dining table comfortably seats up to 8. A separate bar with wine cooler also doubles as a coffee station with Keurig for quick and easy morning wake-ups.

And what better way to greet the day by enjoying a cup of coffee on the Gulf front deck! With plenty of space to soak up the sunshine or to relax in the shade, you will find yourself spending many mornings here watching the dolphins swim by or counting the seemingly endless stars at night. Don't forget to bring flashlights for the nightly round-up of ghost crabs along the shoreline!

A split-bedroom layout allows ample space and privacy for each bedroom. Two master suites are located Gulf front, with access to the Gulf front deck. Each of these King bedrooms enjoys a breathtaking view, a flat screen TV and a private bathroom with shower. A bunk bedroom is located off of the dining room and has access to a jack-n-jill bathroom with shower. The bunk bedroom also has a large flat screen TV w/ Playstation 3 game console so that the kids can relax in their own space. Bring your own games or enjoy ours! A third King bedroom is located just off of the kitchen and also has access to a private bathroom with tub/shower combination, and a flat screen TV. All beds have brand-new mattresses for a restful night's sleep.

The laundry room is located on the ground level and is accessible from the parking area. This room houses a full size washer and dryer as well as a convenient 1/2 bath. With plenty of under-house parking, this area also doubles as a cool and shaded space for the kids to play out of the mid-day sun. A cozy double hammock, gas grill and hot/cold outdoor shower also add to the convenience and enjoyment of the space.

A 12x25 private swimming pool is ready for you and your family to enjoy. We also offer pool heat in the cooler months for a $400 + tax fee.

A sandy beach path is located across the street, just a few short steps East of the property via a public sand path (please note the sandy beach path directly across the street is private property). SOL MATE is also conveniently located within easy walking distance to the Island center, where local shops and restaurants can be found.

Wonderful vacation at Sol Mate
The house was perfect! The location was great (beach across the street) and the pool is very nice. The view from the house and the porch was amazing! The house was clean, spacious and the furniture was comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. The only problem was the BBQ grill that wasn't in good condition. We definitely want to go back!

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Rented the property for our kids and grandkids to join us on SGI from Vermont for their February Break, (we live close by). I have a mixed review. Location was a 10. right across from Beach walkover and with a nice view for not being beachfront. close to everything that the Island has to offer so kids could walk to lighthouse, playground, donut shop, ice cream etc. House was spacious with plenty of room for 6 comfortably.beds were comfortable.However, house could definitely use some attention..cracked countertop, peeling cabinet paint, older electric stove in kitchen. decking and steps in need of repair. clearly not updated in quite a while, if those things matter to you.We chose this property because of the amenities we desired,,IE: heatable pool, ice maker for drinks, gas grill for cooking out. all things that make for a great beach vacay.Ice maker was broken, gas grill had no propane tank, pool heater was broken (we had paid $400 for heat)the rental company was responsive, offered bagged ice (we had already purchased it), offered to bring a propane tank after our one dinner with guests was embarassingly cooked in fry pans on the electric stove when we discovered no steaks were going to be cooked on the grill!!! (but we really didn't need it after that. Pool heater fan broken and unable to be fixed during our weeks stay. Yes, they refunded our pool heat charge, but that did not fix the disappointment of our grandchildren and kids who had looked forward to it, especially since we had red flag days and cool cloudy days where we would certainly have enjoyed it.Overall we still had fun because we tried to overlook the issues, but I would recommend that the management company hire inspectors who might have discovered these issues prior to our booking rather than after we arrived and reported them ourselves.If you are ok with things not being brand new and drill down on the amenities being available, the location & porch view were great.

Perfect location!
We had a fantastic stay at Sol Mate. It is in the perfect location with the beach right across the street and walking distance to Blue Parrot. We had plenty of room for 3 couples and two teenagers. It was so nice to sit on the deck in the mornings for coffee and in the afternoons for cocktails. The pool was really an added bonus because we had some extremely hot days and needed to cool off. Property management called and checked in to make sure everything was okay after the first day or two, which was unexpected, but nice to know they were available if there were any issues. Be aware that the washer and dryer are under the house off the carport, so traveling up and down two sets of stairs is involved. However, this certainly was not a significant issue and I would highly recommend this rental house.
