About this property

The Kona - coastal seclusion on Kangaroo Island

The Kona is situated at Antechamber Bay 25 Kms east of Penneshaw on 3500 acres of 1820's historical coastal farmland, 'Creek Bay'.

The Kona is a modern, open-plan beach house suitable for up to two families. Unwind on the large entertaining deck, prepare meals in the modern kitchen or travel a short distance to local eateries in Penneshaw.

Creek Bay farm adjoins Leseur National Park and is close to Chapman River. Enjoy secluded walks amongst native bush and coastline, including over 1000 acres of private bushland.

How to find The Kona:
The Kona holiday house is situated 25kms east of the ferry terminal at Penneshaw.

Go through the township and turn left past the Penneshaw school, the signs indicate Antechamber Bay and Cape Willoughby Lightstation.

The road is sealed for the first part and then becomes dirt.

After 23kms you will come to the Creek Bay Farm. Turn left and follow the road 2kms until you arrive at The Kona which is on your left. If there is any confusion about directions and/or location please do not hesitate to contact us!

Kona time
Don’t stay here if you’re expecting some shops around the corner. It’s 23 kilometres from the nearest town, but that’s the good thing about it. Out on a sheep station but with fabulous views over Backstairs Passage, a well equipped kitchen to cook in and a great outdoor deck area. An amble through the fields to a couple of completely private beaches. Swallows nesting in the garage. And yes there is a washing machine

Great Few Days Away
We all enjoyed the space and scenery, including the dogs - who were particularly fond of the beach. Well set up for what we needed, great for rest and relaxation. Thank you for having us.

Peace and solitude in abundance. The Kona though remote is worth the effort.
We spent 8 days at this property it was just so relaxing we didn’t want to leave. Kate and Andy were lovely to deal with. The private beach was a bonus. We will definitely be back.

Relaxing break
We have had an amazing stay. Only a few days off from hectic work schedules, but with being able to bring our two doggos with us for the trip, it made for a relaxing stay we will not forget. Thank you to Kate and Andy, this place is wonderful and we are so pleased we were able to be here to enjoy it. We hope to be able to visit again
