About this property

Inground Pool - Next to Airport - 9 Interstate Miles to Downtown Nashville

Our home is located in Donelson - the first and last stop for guests visiting Nashville via air. It’s only 10 miles east of downtown Nashville, and is bordered by the Cumberland River to the west and Old Hickory and Percy Priest Lakes to the north and south.
Everything you could possibly need is closeby - restaurants, shopping, entertainment, activities and relaxation.

McNamara’s is a hot spot with locals across the city. They have live Irish music most nights and authentic, delicious Irish food. Nashville’s Bar-B-Cutie, was voted “Most Family Friendly Restaurant” in Music City. If you are a fan of the TV show Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, make sure you stop by Phat Bites, located just behind Ace Hardware. For a more upscale experience, visit Ellendale’s for brunch or dinner. If you can’t get enough southern food, Monel’s offers a shared-table, family-style dining experience. While there are several locations, one of the largest and most accessible is located very near us!

The Hip Donelson Farmers Market runs from 4 pm to 7 pm every Friday afternoon May-October. Two Rivers Mansion hosts monthly outdoor concerts in the warmer months as well.

We’re just a few miles from the famous Opryland Hotel, The Grand Ole Opry House, and the enormous Opry Mills Mall. The Opryland Hotel is known for its Christmas décor and Ice! Experience which can be enjoyed starting in November and running through the New Year. Opryland also has a world-class spa, but we have many locally-owned salons and day spas such as in nearby East Nashville; Cognito Salon on Belmont Boulevard, as well as Snappy Nails right here in Donelson.

Adjacent to Donelson is the city of Hermitage, which gets its name from the home of the 7th President: Andrew Jackson. Learn about life on a 19th century farm at Andrew Jackson's Hermitage: Home of the People's President and one of America’s most preserved presidential estates.

The Hermitage Golf Course is also a must see for any golf lover. It has been rated the“#1 Public Course in the State” by Golf Digest, and “One of America’s 100 Best Golf Courses for $100.00 or Less” by Travel and Leisure Golf.

Families love to visit Nashville Shores during the summer months for their massive wave pool, 8 different water slides, and Kowabunga Beach, their water treehouse and playground. You can soar through the trees at Treetop Adventure Park, which has courses for children and adults. We are happy to offer a discount code, by request, so you can save on admission to Nashville Shores. The Marina at Nashville Shores offers boat rentals, short term slip rentals, and a boat launch.

Getting Around

$12-$16 Uber ride from the home down to Lower Broadway (per the Uber website estimator). Literally one exit from the airport, and 3 houses off the interstate. Less than 10 interstate miles between our house and all the HONKY TONKS downtown! Our favorites are Tootsie’s (of course!), Robert’s Western World, and Whiskey Bent.

Other Things to Note

Once you arrive, please feel free to reach out to us for anything that you need that we have failed to provide. We want to make sure the house has everything a traveler would need or want. Call or text, we usually respond within the hour.

While we are not a pet-friendly property, we can recommend several boarding facilities closeby where your pups will be treated like family.

DO NOT STAY!!
Do not stay here! The house is filthy and unsafe. There were no smoke detectors anywhere. The host did nothing about it. I complained about the conditions of this house, no response. Black mold, dirt, chipped and peeling flooring. The bathrooms were so gross. The beds and bedrooms are severely broken down. One of the queen beds was a roll out cot. There is exposed wires and water leaking from the washer in the garage. If I could attach my photos I would. We all had respiratory issues from all the mold and dust. The neighborhood is super shady as well. It’s on a super busy street. The whole house is falling apart. There’s metal wires used in place of door handles. The window ac units are full of mold. I think the dirtiest motel would have been better. And for the price, it’s a scam! Please, do not book!

This property had everything you would need. The owner was very nice and helpful. It was nice to have the private pool to relax in during the day. It was convenient location and close to the airport.

Great location and amenities
House was perfect for our group of 8. Plenty of utensils and pots and pans to save some money and cook at home. With the crazy heat, the pool was ideal to cool off. Anthony was a great communicator and very responsive. Perfect location half way between downtown and OpryLand. Cheap Uber to both. I would definitely recommend and rent again!
