Flights to Beziers Airport UK 15 min to house
Why The owner chose Agde
The property is a good size with ample living space for six people. It is situated in a quiet area but still close to all amenities, bakery and beach just five minutes walk. The marina with bars cafes and restaurants is a ten minute walk. Bus stop is just across the road. Our price is very competitive compared to similar sized properties in the area and parking WiFi air-conditioning, bed linen and towels are included in our price.
What makes this Villa unique
The house which is about 40 years old has a lovely comfortable feel. The design is charming and the terraces back and front which both enjoy full sun at different times of the day add to the relaxing feel. It is easy to spend the day chilling out and not feel the need to go anywhere.
No refunds for cancellations made after payment is made
Excellent, will visit again
We stayed in the Villa for 7 days around Easter but wished we could have stayed for much longer. We traveled with 3 children and felt the space was ample and cozy enough for meals, games, reading or watching some of the family DVDs which were available.
Before we traveled Chris, the owner, was in constant communication by email informing us of how to get to the villa, the best places to eat and possible activities to do whilst we were there. He was very attentive and quick to respond to any emails which were few from our end. He also kept us informed about the weather conditions. Chris has written a detailed guide book with information about the local area - places of interest, local pharmacies, Doctor's surgery, supermarkets and even where to get reasonably priced fuel!
We loved the space in the villa . It is fantastic with everything you would expect in a home including fresh towels and linen. Truly a home away from home!
Fantastic stay in an amazing property
You will not regret choosing this property! The owners are super helpful and gave excellent directions to the property and provided invaluable assistance in planning our holiday.
Really well equipped with absolutely everything you could need for a great break, spotlessly clean, fabulous dining/seating areas out the front and back of the property. Everything in the property is in excellent condition including all the cooking equipment/utensils etc. Very comfortable beds and indoor couches in the living room. Within walking distance to the beautiful beach and the port. Plenty of restaurants in the port, different cuisines available. Local shops less than a 5 minute walk away including a SPAR and a lovely bakery. Montpellier is a beautiful city to visit. Stayed for a week, will definitely return!
Beautiful holiday home in excellent location.
This holiday property is as described and is a home from home. It is very well maintained and is furnished and equipped to a very high standard with everything you could possibly need during your stay. The owners provided a very helpful binder with detailed information on the apartment and the local area.
The location is ideal with the beach just a short walk away. There are some small shops and a bakery nearby and a 10 minute walk takes you in to the port where there numerous shops, bars and restaurants.
There is a bus stop across the road from the property where you can get a bus to Agde station so it is very convenient if you wish to visit some of the nearby towns and cities. We visited Montpellier and Beziers during our stay.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone & hope to return in the future.
Lovely well equipped house in very nice location
The house is five minutes walk from the beach by pedestrian path and ten minutes walk to the marina/port which has a good selection of bars and restaurants. There are a range of shops bakery green grocer etc s few minutes walk from the house and more at the port. This made for a very relaxing holiday no need to take out the car.
The weather was lovely and it was great to ramble back in the evening after a swim to enjoy BBQ,d food on very private and sunny terrace. There is a smaller terrace on the other side of the house which gets the morning sun where we had coffee and croissants for breakfast.
The property was clean and tidy and very well equipped. The main reception room is spacious and combined with the terraces offers somewhere to sneak away to read a book alone if you chose.
The location is great as a base as Montpellier is a 40 min drive on one side while Beziers is 20 min on the other. There are several other towns and villages nearby and the Spanish border is about 75 mins we did not get there but we did enjoy day trips to Beziers Sete and Marseillan which is a very pretty port village.
A big plus for the house was the two showers no big wait in the morning.
We would love to go back.
Wonderful Spring Break
We stayed at this house for a week in late February and really enjoyed our visit. The weather was lovely and used it as a base to visit Beziers Penezas Montpellier and even Avignon which was well worth the trip. A day trip to Spain is possible but we did not get around to going.
The house was very clean comfortable and well equipped. We had a small baby in our party and were pleased that cot high chair and bath were provided free of charge. The house is just as described on the website.
The location is excellent as the beach is only a short walk as is the marina where there was a good selection of restaurants bars and shops. There are also some small shops about 250m from the house.
All in all we had a great trip and were very happy with the house. We would consider it again for a Spring break or possibly a longer stay during the Summer Season.
Great family holiday house in a wonderful location
From the quick reply to my initial email the owner was extremely helpful and the property was just as nice as the other reviews had said. Detailed directions to get to the house were emailed (thanks a lot Chris) and the agents were very helpful with the booking and payment process.
We booked it as a last minute family holiday for October half term and the property was wonderfully suited for that. We particularly liked the fact that there was even buckets and spades for the kids to use on the beach, very handy.
We were very lucky with the weather during our 8 days there but there was a large selection of DVD’s just in case as well as a dozen or so that were suitable for smaller children as well as games and books for them.
There was a small selection of guide books and maps for the local area that were very helpful and the info pack on the house was very detailed, from the best local pastry shop (missing it already!!) to the best place to buy fuel from.
There was a patio at both the front and the rear of the property which meant that we could sit in the sun in the morning and the evening and the beach itself was only a few minutes walk away.
The beach closest to the house was very nice, one part was more of a shell beach rather than sand which was great for the kids as they spent countless hours hunting for the perfect shell, with the rest of the beach being a coarse sand that stretched for miles!
The immediate shops that were about 100 metres from the house were all closed due to the time that we went except for the newsagent that was like a mini shop and he sold just about everything that you could need, however the wonderful pastry shop was only ten minutes walk the other way with all the shops surrounding it being open from a grocer to wine to clothes shops, so there really wouldn’t have been anything that you needed for your stay that you couldn’t get within walking distance if needed. The Hyper U supermarket was about 5 minutes by car, with fuel that was about 20% cheaper than the UK.
All in all a wonderfully located house, we did a large amount of driving about (1,000 miles of trips, plus approx 2,000 miles there and back) and it was a great base to visit Carcassone, Montpellier, Beziers, Nimes, St Guihelm le Desert, Clamouse Caves, Tarn Gorges and Millau Bridge from plus a few others that I have forgotten and we even went to Spain for a day!
Would highly recommend it and we are already looking at what dates we want to go for next year!
The house is in the Languedoc region an area green with vines and scented garrigues and offering tremendous diversity: historic sites and towns, charming villages, vinyards of international renown and a cuisine to revitalise even the most jaded palate. The area basks in a perfect Mediterranean climate with 300 days of sunshine annually. Beziers/Cap d' Agde airport is 15min drive, Montpellier 45 min, Perpignan Nimes and Carcassonne airports are all within 90min while Gerona is 2h.15 mins. Cap d`Agde boasts 14km of sandy beaches, year round fishing, sailing, jet ski, scuba diving and a large selection of cafes and restaurants .An ideal resort for family and activity holidays, it has a large water world, fun fair, miniature port and a mini train. All water sports, golf, tennis, horse riding hill walking sea and Canal du Midi cruises are available close by. The historic town of Agde and the pretty lakeside town of Marseillan are minutes away and provide additional restaurants. Sir Norman Foster`s bridge at Millau is 60m away and Montpellier at 40m has a free Zoo.
Other Activities: Sea and Canal du Midi cruises.
Golf: This is an ideal property for a relaxing golf holiday. In addition to the local course there are several others within one hours drive. Why not benefit from the Languedoc-Roussillon Golf-Pass which gives a substantial discount on green fees.
