We had a wonderful week at Castleview West.
We had a wonderful week at Castleview West. What a stunning location! The views from the sun room are just magnificent. The cottage was very clean and very well equipped. We travelled with our two young kids and they absolutely loved the place. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

We had a lovely week at Castleview West.
We had a lovely week at Castleview West. I'll start with the small, not hugely important niggly things. For more than 5 people the living room would need one of the chairs from the conservatory bringing in which isn't a huge deal but they're not as comfortable as a sofa. The addition of an armchair might be beneficial here for larger parties. Also the sofas are sofa beds and seem relatively old, when you sit on the 2 seater it starts to open up and we had to keep getting up and pushing it back in. The bath mat didn't look in great condition and possibly not freshly washed, obviously not a huge deal. It also would be been nice to have information on local attractions in the welcome book as it only had maps in. On the advert it said there was a PS2 but if there was we couldn't find it anywhere. On to the good. The cottage is spacious, we went as a family of 5, 2 grown up kids and a young child and there was plenty of room so that we didn't get under each other's feet. It has everything you need; excellent wifi that supported multiple devices, washer, drier, iron, all necessary pots, pans, cutlery etc. Although we took our own things like washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, laundry pods were also available as well as essentials such as teabags, coffee, salt, pepper, cooking oil, tin foil etc, which was great. The stairs are steep but I noticed a stair gate in the utility room, we didn't use it but it's a great option for those with small children. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the bedding was great quality. The views, oh wow the views. Just out of this world! We saw ospreys flying right in front of the cottage numerous times. What a location! The private loch access was fantastic as we came to realise that there isn't really anywhere to pull up the car and get to the side of the majority of the lochs we visited/passed; the land is generally owned by hotels/private residences/private fishing clubs etc etc. On a couple of occasions we heard families walking past and once they'd seen the "private" sign they moved on to try and find another route to the shore. Yes there is a relatively busy road separating the cottage and the loch but it doesn't spoil the view or ruin the experience. Overall an amazing stay in a wonderful cottage!
