About this property

The Eagle's Landing on Minamkeak Lake

Nestled upon a hill and overlooking Minamkeak Lake, the Eagle's Landing is a perfect affordable, well-appointed and comfortable studio. Deck overlooking the lake with BBQ, galley kitchen, heated bathroom floor with rain shower, air conditioning, and WIFI.

Please note that I have a German Shepherd on the property. All bark no bite and loves attention. Mr. Oso is his name. a.k.a. Mr. Walkenpoo, I do my daily rounds but he loves to leave me little gifts in the driveway at times! Watch your step.

The Eagle's Landing is a walkout studio below the Eagle's Nest. The property sits at the end of a dead-end road just 3 km from the highway. Bob & the Boys, the local Farm Market is right at the corner, with fresh local produce from Nova Scotia. Just 10 minutes away you are in downtown Bridgewater, a mid-size town with all conveniences, including groceries, hardware, banks, hospital etc.

On the way, you will pass by Indian Farms. Also local produce but the chance to pick strawberries (early July), raspberries, blueberries, (August), Apples (September).

Now for the Beaches. Beaches are within 25 km of the house (30 minutes max). These include Crescent Beach, Bachman's beach (Second Peninsula), Risser's Beach Provincial Park, Hirtle's Beach, White Point, and Summerville Beach.

Also about 30 minutes away is Historical Lunenburg with its fabulous restaurants, harbour, waterfront promenade, our infamous Bluenose, a Golf course, shopping, horse and buggy rides, pottery shops, pub and more.

Apart from kicking back and enjoying the lake, you can see the Oven's Park with its Natural Sea Caves and the thunderous roar of the waves crashing. Indian Falls, is a local watering hole, with a natural swimming pool and its own little waterfalls.

If you are concerned about sharing the house with the Eagle's Nest on the level above, please note that the Nest in no longer being rented and I live there. The Eagle's Landing studio has its private parking and entrance, a private deck with a Pergola, and privacy lattice. covered in grape vines.

Have a great vacation and enjoy Nova Scotia!!

Lovely spot - as advertised
Quaint property a short trip from Lunenburg. Quiet, peaceful - if you need a break from the hustle, this is your spot. Only stayed one night, but place was super well equipped. Took the kayak out for a paddle. Host was responsive, friendly and available (if needed), otherwise you didnt notice she was on-site. Highly recommended!

Quiet lakeside rural studio retreat
Attended a week long course in Lunenburg so we decided to stay at this property. I swam twice daily in the gorgeous lake. We enjoyed two evenings in the double kayak exploring parts of the lake. We bought local farm produce from Bob and the Boys. We did some cycling in the area. We did not see anyone on the lake during our stay so it was quiet and peaceful.

Just a stunning location and space. Well thought out details from the warm lighting option to the overhead rain shower head. Lake view, garden and deck area amazing. We will be back if we are ever in this neck of the woods again!

Wonderful Little Spot!
My fiancé and I enjoyed our stay at the Eagles Nest for our anniversary, the space was exactly what we wanted for a getaway! We loved that all we had to do was bring our clothes and food, that makes travelling so much easier! Corinne was very kind and welcoming, her pup Mr. Oso is a gentle giant! Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

What makes this property unique

I fell in love with this property and thought it would be a great retirement home. So this is not just a vacation rental, it is my home . I take great care of it and I have developed many maintenance skills! Plumbing, landscaping, cement work, working in the forest. It's an ongoing project. A labour of love.

Minamkeak Lake, no matter what season or time of day offers spectacular views and sounds from loons, Canada geese announcing spring is here, Mr. Beaver on the other side of the island, and many other critters, Watch for the bunnies in the spring..
