About this property

Hemingways cozy rustic cabin 5 min. from Cody

Remodeled in 2015! Spend the night in this cute duplex cabin, close to Cody yet located out in the country with magnificent mountain views. The cabin is western with brand new log furniture's and brand new pillow top queen bed and YOUR OWN bathroom. We're are roughly 50 miles from Yellowstone.
You will have full access to the deck but have to share with guest on the other side of the cabin. There is great hiking possibilities on our property, you are more than welcome to take advantage of that. We have horses grazing on the property from time to time, they would love it if you would like to say hello to them. We have a charcoal grill that you are welcome to use (you supply the charcoals). We have a bon fire spot by the water canal, please enjoy it. There is a mini fridge and a coffee maker in your cabin as well.

We’re sad to inform you that our nice big Akita dog, Rooster, passed away on November 1st 2023. It has been a very hard time for our family as he was the best family member we could have ever wished for. We know that he will be greatly missed by our guests as well. It will take some getting used to by us all, to not have him keeping an eye out for us all.
On that note, we’re excited to announce that we welcomed a new little Akita pup to our family. He was born October 5th 2023. His name is Napoleon “Dynamite” Bonaparte. He is the runt of the litter and just the sweetest little guy. We know we can’t replace Rooster, but if Napoleon is just a little bit of what he was, he will too be a great part of our family.

We also have Ellie-girl. She’s such a little firecracker and filled with personality. She is funny and loving and a great addition to our family. Furthermore, we rescued and golden retriever mix, Rita the fall of 2022 and she’s a sweetheart. She and Ellie really likes to get themselves into some trouble. All friendly, loving dogs. So, if you’re a dog person, this is most definitely the place to be.

Perfect place to stay to visit NW Wyoming
Hemingway Cabin is so cozy and the perfect place to stay to visit Cody, Yellowstone and the area. It is a very simple cabin, no frills, but perfect for us. No kitchen (has a small fridge and coffee pot), no tv, both of which I wanted to get away from for the week. The bed was comfy and the cabin was very clean. We loved the ranch dogs coming to visit us. They are so sweet. It is a few miles out of town, so was very quiet for great sleeping. We loved our stay.

Hidden Gem!
Loved, loved our stay. The property is better than described. It had everything we needed and was so cozy. Just far enough out of Cody to enjoy the quiet and beauty of mountains. The cottage was so clean and details were well thought out. I can’t wait to go back.

Apple Jack Ranch is wonderful
Apple Jack ranch is the perfect place to relax and experience a bit more of WY just a few minutes outside of downtown Cody. The cabins are the perfect size for a single person or a couple and are furnished with everything you need for your stay. The ranch dogs greet you upon arrival and whenever you return to tour cabin. A very relaxing place.
