A perfect home from which to explore wonderful, enchanting Eureka Springs.
This cute, slightly funky home was exactly as described. The outside was as welcoming as the inside was comfortable. The house was immaculate, beds were comfortable, everything worked (the A/C, the shower, the TV) and the setting was great for being peaceful and quiet. Downtown Eureka Springs is only a 15 minute walk but you need to be careful as sidewalks appear and disappear on the way. We have rented many places through VRBO and this rental equaled or surpassed all of the others. Gary, the owner, was friendly and was easily reachable. Highly recommended but not for those with mobility issues.
Happy with stay
It’s a very old very small quaint house but it served our purpose for girls weekend. We didn’t use the lower level much, just the bedrooms.
It's cute and had plenty of room and was very affordable for the for of us girls and it had easy short drive or a bit of a walk to downtown. All sleeping quarters are on the second level with only one really private bedroom. There are 2 beds in a loft area that are split up by an open stairway, so no walls there for privacy. There is a large bathroom w/o a shower just off the kitchen/entryway and a large bath w/shower with access through the bedroom upstairs. We did run into issues with the shower not working and figured there was a problem with the water pressure that weekend. It was nice and a little rough around the edges though served our purposes for our short stay.
Hurrah, the water pressure issue has now been fix!
A step back in time
Enjoyed staying in this lovely home. Very clean. Would love to come back for the fall colors. Only issue was low water pressure.
Great news! We've fixed the water pressure issue!
Quiet, Wonderful Stay
We really enjoyed our girl's trip to Eureka Springs. The house is such a great location - close to everything. Restaurants have great food. Shopping so pleasant. Thank you for such a great place to stay and enjoy Eureka Springs!
First of all Gary the owner was very available to us. The downstairs air conditioner we were told quit working but he had another one in by night. There were some ant problems he sprayed still continued but by the last day they were gone. It seemed the house might not have been looked until the day we were coming. The dryer didn't work (my daughter needed to wash cloth diapers daily) He hung a line outside however we understood from the amenities it was in working order. The price was extremely reasonable. We knew we would be in and out considerably. the beds were comfy, As people who loves history it would be nice to know the history of the house. The tubs might have been run before we got there as there was some residue from the jets that spilled into the tub. We will use home away again.
