About this property

Beautifully renovated stone house with a pool

This wonderful south facing house situated in the tiny village of La Bastide D'Engras has a beautiful view over the valley. It is secluded within its own courtyard with the swimming pool a few steps from the living area.
The village itself is dominated by a medieval chateau. It is basically a farming community with a post office and a mairie and a bread van that comes through every morning. There is a small food market every Tuesday morning. Less than 2 km. away is St. Laurent La Vernede which has a bakery and a small general store. St. Quentin la Poterie, famous for its community of potters also has a butcher, a supermarket and many bakeries. There are several excellent and reasonable restaurants in the area. Tennis and golf are easily available and there are breathtaking walks through the pine forests, vineyards and lavender and sunflower fields.


Golf: There is a very pretty golf course near Uzes - very relaxed with the possibility of renting clubs. There is a lady's and men's set of clubs in the house

Tennis: There is a tennis court in the next village which our guests are entitled to use. There are tennis racquets in the house

Cycling: You can rent bicycles in the nearby village of St. Quentin la Poterie

Maison, village, région, tout est charmant !
Très jolie maison en pierre, très confortable et bien décorée avec une piscine très agréable. La terrasse ombragée est parfaite pour les repas. Les propriétaires ont constitué un recueil d'informations et de conseils pour visiter la région très bien fait et très utile. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour.

Fantastic!
We had a great stay in Bastide d'Engras. The house is well-equipped with a nice, fantastic swimming pool. There's also a big private parking space. Lot's to see in this area: nice villages, hiking, lovely restaurants. All within one hour driving by car. A very good communication with the owners of the house.

Extremely helpful owner with great communication throughout. The property…well it’s hard to fault really. Extremely relaxing, very comfortable, equipped with everything we needed. Pool is fabulous. If you already know the area, then you’ll know it’s a wealth of beautiful villages and towns.
