Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

House, 4 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 3 Baths, (Sleeps 8-10)

If you are looking for a quiet spot to sit by the ocean and watch eagles soaring by, then this is the right place for you. Our new home offers sunny, south-facing ocean views from nearly all rooms as well as the three decks. The open-concept layout is perfect for families or small groups.

Located just outside the entrance to Pender Harbour, our home offers amazing views across the Georgia Strait. On clear days you can see right across to Vancouver Island. Watch the cruise ships passing by in the distance and sailboats going in and out of the harbour right in front of our home.

The house is full of warmth, both from the ample natural light, as well as our travels to South America, Asia and Africa. Everything is provided to ensure that you enjoy your stay to the maximum, including complementary speciality shampoos, conditioners and soaps from our local Watkins supplier. We also have free wireless internet available.

Upstairs we have an open concept kitchen, dining room and living room all with stunning ocean views. Right off this area is the ample front deck. The master bedroomm which also looks out over the ocean, has an ensuite bath with a big soaker tub while there is also a second bedroom and bathroom on this floor.

Downstairs are two bedrooms and a large recreation room all with the same spectacular ocean view, along with a third bathroom. The rec room has a gas fireplace with rock work extending up to the ceiling, a cozy seating area, a large screen LCD TV (with HD and DVR), as well as a brand new foosball table and games table for entertainment. On the expanded bottom deck we have installed a brand new high end Jackson Grill stainless steel BBQ.

Our home has ocean access, and we have built stairs down to the water. If you are adventurous, take a jump off our perfect rock into the refreshing water, and then warm up on the rocks in the sunshine. In the cooler seasons, you might opt to simply walk along the ocean’s edge and look in the tide pools. There is also a look-out spot with a comfy chair just steps from the house where you can sit alone with your morning coffee for a moment of quiet reflection.

Steps from our home are great hikes to Pender Hill, Daniel Point and Sakinaw Lake and a bit further afield Mt. Daniel and the world famous Skoocumchuck Narrows. Nearby, you also have kayak and motorboat rental, boat trips up Princess Louisa Inlet, fishing, Pender Harbour boat tours, fine and casual dining, a new spa, biking, swimming in the ocean or five nearby freshwater lakes.

The house is also well set up for children, including an enclosed lower deck for babies and toddlers as well as a brand new playground with swings, monkey bars and a climbing wall for those a bit older.

Whatever you are looking for, our home and the surrounding area has everything to offer. Come and enjoy our home away from home!

Slice of heaven!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for 4 nights in May. We would have loved to stay longer. The view is so incredible!!! We spent a lot of time on the upper outside deck watching eagles and the magnificent view. There is even a hammock to relax in outside (they've thought of everything!). The bed was so comfortable and we had such great sleeps. The home is beautifully furnished and has everything you need. The house is close to Daniel Point park as well as some good hiking trails. We loved it here and will definitely be back!

Good For The Soul

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed at Brook’s Nook for 7 nights in June. What a treat. The home is beautifully furnished, the ocean views are stunning and birds and other wildlife are ever present. We couldn’t have asked for more. What we especially appreciated was the opportunity each day to decide what we were in the mood for. Sometimes we just sat on the deck taking in the quietness, reading or watching all manner of boats slipping into and out of the marina in the distance. Other times we went for hikes to viewpoints or for drives along the ocean or around some of the many lakes in the area. Whatever we were looking for, we found. By the end of our stay we felt recharged and grateful for a most relaxing and satisfying vacation. We'll be back.

Amazing Long Weekend

  • 5 of 5

Our family headed to Brook's Nook for a 3 night stay over the Easter weekend. There were 8 adults and 2 kids and there was more than enough room for all of us. The weather cooperated the entire weekend and we spent most of our time on the outside upper deck, where we watched eagles soar overhead in the endless blue sky. The house is nestled in a magnificent setting and there was lots to do in the area, including hiking up Pender Hill to enjoy the breathtaking views from the top, and fishing with the kids from the nearby shore. The house itself is well maintained inside and out and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was truly a relaxing family getaway. Matthew was most helpful with any questions we had and we are so thankful that he and his family shared their beautiful home with us.

Lovely winter getaway

  • 5 of 5

We celebrated the new year here with two other couples and had a lovely time. The views were outstanding and we really enjoyed the beach access for a polar bear swim on New Year's Day. The nighttime sky was incredible. The home is well-equipped, well-maintained and even better than the photos. We made a few nice meals and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed.

Great family get away

  • 5 of 5

Brook’s Nook is ideally located as a jumping off point for so many family friendly activities, we swam in local Katherine Lake, saw Orca’s from Francis Point (although seals are more common here), hiked Pender Hill and Daniel Point (which the young kids and grandparents managed too), biked around the local lakes, explored rock pools at the local beaches, watched the Skookumchuck Narrows and visited the Iris Griffith nature centre. There are many other hikes and bike trails to explore if you have the time. We chose to spend a few lazy afternoons enjoying the sun down on the rocks below the house too.

The house it’s self is ideally suited to families with lots of thoughtful touches making it a home from home, we’ve stayed in several rentals since we had kids and this was by far the best equipped of them all. A well equipped kitchen makes cooking that much easier on vacation and the games and toys kept the kids entertained while we enjoyed the beautiful views and dinner on the deck. With 2 bedrooms on each level and 2 sitting areas, not to mention the 2 decks, this would work well for 2 families; we were 3 generations under and enjoyed the extra space that allowed everyone the space they needed to relax and unwind.

Matthew, the owner is helpful and responds quickly to questions and the house was lovely and clean on our arrival. We hope to return one day. Thank you for an awesome vacation!

We stayed for 4 nights with our children aged 10+ and had a beautiful stay. The location of this house and the area are exceptionally beautiful even by BC standards. Within walking distance are the Pender Hill hike and Daniel Point park. The house is very clean, cozy, and well equipped for cooking, playing games, doing puzzles, reading, stargazing, and soaking in the amazing view.
