On the Atlantic coast in Charente Maritime, in Saint-Palais-sur-Mer, the Étoile Errante is located 50 m away from the beach of the Platin.
This 120 sq.m house with 4 bedrooms was completely renovated in 2011, in a simple way, like the neighbourhood. On the South-East side the atmosphere is in line with the peace of its private park planted with pine trees, holm oaks and strawberry trees of 550 sq.m: two terraces allow you to enjoy it in the quiet. It is heated to receive you in any season.

Wonderful sites: La Palmyre Zoo, Sentier des Douaniers, Cordouan lighthouse, Talmont abbey, troglodyte caves of Meschers, vineyards in Médoc (by the Royan ferry), local products of Cognac, Marennes (city of oysters), Oleron Island, Fort Boyard, Roman art …
Entertainment: Pontaillac casino, pubs and nightclub 900 metres away, and international firework competition.

Access: less than 30 minutes from the A10 highway, 1h30 from Bordeaux airports, and 45 minutes from La Rochelle. The train station of Royan is 9 km away.

Family reunion
Great location and gite was fully equipped with quality apparatus. Lots to do locally in walking distance. Daily market with fresh products meat fish fruit and vegetables. Restaurants with views over the sea, together with views over the squares. The lovely beach was only 50 metres away and provided hours of fun. Easy access to local places of interest like, Royan and Cognac etc. Host was very accommodating with our stay and arrival and departure requirements. Our stay was arranged as a 50th birthday treat and we managed to create new memories based on our previous holidays in the area some 40 years previously. Exceeded our expectations.

Schönes Haus in sehr guter Lage
Ruhig und doch sehr nah am Zentrum UND Strand ( 1-2 min zu Fuss) gelegenes Haus mit genug Platz und Charme für meine Familie mit 3 Kindern. Es hätten noch 1 Kind und ein Ehepaar Platz gehabt. Sehr gute Privatsphäre. Ein Top Treffer.

La maison, son emplacement c'est l'alchimie parfaite pour un séjour réussi. le seul bémol, le réfrigérateur, selon moi la capacité de la maison et la capacité du réfrigérateur n'est pas en adéquation. Hormis ce détail RAS

maison bien située, mais jardin inutilisable, seule la cour est vraiment utilisable
il faut que le plancher de l'étage soit insonorisé et renouveler le lit double d'une des chambres à l'étage qui n'est pas du tout confortable

Lovely location and comfortable house
We had a fantastic time at Claire’s place. The location close to many beaches and the center of town is just what we needed as a family. The house is cozy and well equipped, perfect spot!
