Wonderful property to see the stars and wild deer
Important note about getting to the property: we lost complete cell and wi-fi signal about an hour outside of the cabin and our GPS wasn't updating. There is signal about a mile away and at the cabin though. I would highly recommend taking pictures of your directions just in case to not miss a turn.
My family really enjoyed our small reunion at this location. The pool table upstairs was a great way to pass time. There's TVs everywhere if your family time gets dull or awkward, but we hardly watched it in our 3 days up there. Wi-fi and Directv are available throughout the home.
There's a really FANTASTIC Blackstone grill on the deck that my dad was absolutely obsessed with. The property owner is upfront about the possibility about not having propane, so it's always good to bring a tank just in case you're there during a holiday. Otherwise, there is a couple of major-chain grocery stores nearby that have a great selection of items and will carry anything you need.
If you're a kitchen connoisseur, I would recommend bringing all the cooking utensils, roasting pans, and items you may need. The cabin's kitchen fell short on a few things we needed, so we went to the store to pick them up. Also, bring your own seasonings as the ones in the cabinet were all expired. There is a Keurig and coffee pot available to use, and we definitely made a 12 cup pot of coffee each morning to just soak in the wilderness of the property.
The kitchen table is beautifully large for family meals, cookie decorating and puzzles. There's also a decent high chair available for young kids.
The upstairs master suite does not have a door, it's essentially in the loft area (so don't put snorers up here). The showers in the bathrooms are fantastic, so you'll enjoy a rainshower head with consistent hot water. There's also a pack n' play available, but you should bring your own sheets.
The house was decorated for Christmas, so it really made our family photos beautifully perfect on the staircase.
A few problems we had was the cleanliness of the property inside and outside, and we had these large flying bugs that kept getting in the house even when the doors were closed. I let the homeowner know and she assured me that the cleaners were there before we arrived, but it should be corrected in the future. The woodland bug situation is unfortunate, but not surprising due to location. Overall, we still had a great time and look forward to visiting again in the future.
