About this property

Pretty 3-bed terraced cottage with spectacular sea views and large garden

Easter Cottage is a 19th century stone built terraced cottage on Hagginton Hill, on the outskirts of the award winning village of Berrynarbor. The house offers beautiful sea views from bedrooms 1 and 3, and from the lawned rear garden, with the Brecon Beacons and Pembrokeshire on the far horizon on a clear day.

Bedroom 1 is double aspect and also has rural inland views to the south over farm and pastureland, as does Bedroom 2. Bedrooms 1 and 2 feature vaulted ceilings with exposed trusses, whilst the living room and dining room have exposed beams.

The house has recently been modernised with new appliances, carpets, furniture, WiFi, and upgraded central heating, together with installation of PV solar panels and pressurised hot water tank.

Bedroom 1 is the master bedroom, dual aspect, and furnished with a Superking bed, wardrobe, and dressing table; Bedroom 2 has twin single beds which can also be linked to form a full size Superking, also with wardrobe and dressing table, whilst Bedroom 3 has a single bed with under-bed drawers and cupboards, and compact dressing table / clothes hanger

The living room is provided with a Smart TV and a DVD player.

The kitchen is equipped with a Zanussi induction hob cooker, microwave, toaster, kettle, and fridge with freezer compartment. There is a washing machine and clothes airer in the drying room (accessed via the rear garden) which also has space for storage of surfboards, wetsuits, bicycles, etc.

The bathroom features generous corner bath with hand held shower; electric towel rail.

Travel cot and stair gates available if required.

Accessibility : Ground floor access and movement is step free. There is one step up to the rear garden lawn. All bedrooms are on the first floor accessed via the stairs.

Nearby :

Numerous beaches, South West Coast path, Berrynarbor village (Olde Globe pub, shop etc), Hele Bay (beach, pub, seasonal cafe, fuel/shop), Ilfracombe town (numerous shops, bars, teashops, restaurants, cinema, Damien Hirsts famous 'Verity' statue, harbour, fresh fish sales, 25m swimming pool, takeaways, supermarkets etc)

Please note :

The lane is narrow where it passes the property. Whilst the width is just adequate for loading/unloading, with space for another car to pass, the parking is approximately 150m away where the lane widens out.

Children may require adult supervision when in the front and rear gardens as there is not a secure boundary to the full perimeter.

Windows on the rear elevation (Bedroom 1 and 3) are fire escape windows and do not have opening restrictors fitted.

Charming and relaxing stay
Very nice cottage with everything we needed. Made for a very relaxing stay and beautiful view looking out of the gardens. Parking wasn't ideal but we got used to it, that's the nature of living in rural countryside. Round the corner from Watermouth theme park which our kids loved so added bonus. Would stay here again. Thanks for your hospitality

We are a professional couple, a teacher and a structural engineer, who love North Devon and around. Whilst we have been lucky enough to travel overseas the west country has been the favourite destination for us and our children, and the north of devon and somerset in particular. The beaches are beautiful, the seawaters, rivers, and night skies are clear, the walking and cycling are rewarding, and it is more laidback than many of the popular hotspots of south Devon and Cornwall.

Why they chose this property

The tranquility and the sea views;

Often great views of the full moon rising as a harvest moon or "Supermoon" over the north east horizon
