The Vicente Marín and José Miguel López Díaz de Tuesta Foundation in Bretún is making its official debut in the spring of 2016, with the conservation and dissemination of cultural and artistic heritage as well as the promotion of the town of Bretún, its people and its surroundings. We are aware of the importance of sharing with you all the numerous artistic and literary works that the foundation has, some of them unpublished, in order to contribute to its study and cataloging.
De Bretún highlights its traditional architecture, where stone and wood merge into beautiful facades. The Church of San Pedro, recently restored by the foundation, conserves curious reliefs of which Aztec inspiration is intuited.
Do not forget another of the great attractions of the area, the deposits of Icnitas. More than 65 million years ago, these fossilized footprints of dinosaurs are seen both in the surroundings and in the urban center itself. The Matecasa stands out at the entrance to the town, the Corral de la Peña, the Frontal and Fuente Lacorte.
To the north of the province of Soria, in the region of Tierras Altas and a few kilometers from La Rioja, the town of Bretún comes alive thanks to the Foundation. We offer a unique experience, with one of the most interesting art collections on the current scene. We highlight its extensive gallery, with works of internationally renowned artists, a library with more than 8000 works and a myriad of details, all accessible and accessible to anyone.
