About the area
Canterbury
Located in Canterbury, this vacation home is in a rural area. Canterbury Cathedral and Dover Castle are notable landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Dover Eastern Docks Ferry Terminal and Dover Western Docks Cruise Terminal. Traveling with kids? Consider Howletts Wild Animal Park, or check out an event or a game at St. Lawrence Ground. Practice your golf swing on a nearby course, or enjoy other activities in the great outdoors, such as cycling and horse riding in the area.
Beautiful cottage with all the amenities of home. The villagers of Bridge are very friendly. Wonderful walking trails with great views. James, the owner of the property, was very responsive and made it very easy for us to feel at home.
Perfect apartment with all you need! Perfect location to visit famous Leeds Castle, Dover Castle, Deal Castle, Canterbury, Whitstable and other locations! We really enjoyed the stay! Thanks to James!
We moved to Bridge for 5 weeks before departing to Spain. James was a wonderful host who went over and above to help us (even printed off our travel labels when we realised there was no way for us to d so!)
We have a dog who was more than comfortable and the walks around Bridge are superb, we were walking 6 miles a day and not once got bored of the walk.
The people of Bridge are the nicest that we have met in a long time.
The pubs in the Village are 10/10
I even used the dentist and the Beauty Salon in the village whilst staying and the service was impeccable.
Short trip to Canterbury by car, if required.
I cannot recommend James and his cottages enough

We had a great time in this beautifull cottage with the amazing garden. Our kids (12 and 9) and dog had the time of their lives too. They could run, play outside and create house of trees. All was available in the house. And the communication with James was just perfect. We were also very thankfull for his flexibility on our challenging circumstances. Thanks so much James!

Hi, I'm James and this is my wife Ayako. We have two kids aged 12 and 14. I was born in Kent, grew up in London, worked in Japan for over 20 years and moved back to the UK in 2012. I've sailed a lot over the years but recently do mostly long walks around the UK and around Bridge. We enjoy camping and staying in other people's holiday lets in the UK and France. I used to spend 14 hours a day in a suit but now I'm either digging, planting or painting a wall !
