This Cherasco apartment has all the amenities to make your stay a memorable one. Located in the heart of the Piemonte wine region this quaint little town offers breathtaking views, restaurants with world class food served with local charm and flavor. The first bedroom has queen bed and plenty of room for 2, the second room has split twins that can push together or separate for two more sleeping areas. The living room is bordered by a compact kitchen if needed (local restaurants prevail here!) and the bathroom is complete with clothes washer as well as all amenities. The downstairs entry is large enough to unload the days gear and houses bicycles to use and explore the area. The city of Cherasco is located atop a hill surrounded by local vineyards of the region. Piemonte wine is the range of Italian wines made in the province of Piedmont in the northwestern corner of Italy. The best-known wines from the region include Barolo and Barbaresco. They are made from the Nebbiolo grape. These wines are ideal for storage and a well-aged Barolo for instance may leave a feeling of drinking velvet because the tannins are polished and integrated more and more into the wine. As the wine matures the color becomes more brownish and rust-red which you will experience first hand. A list of local wineries will be provided along with a personal invite from the wine maker upon request as we have personal relationships with selected vineyards. Excellent wine and delicious food: Piedmont is known for fine wines and the cuisine is probably one of the best and most diverse in the whole of Italy. In addition to the famous wine farmers from Barolo and Barbaresco, there are also a variety of other fine wines from grapes like Dolcetto, Barbera, Nebbiolo, Moscato, Brachetto, Arneis, Favorita, Gavi, Chardonnay, etc, etc.
And in a typical Piedmont meal it is not uncommon if you are offered an entire menu with 8 to 10 courses including all drinks for 25 Euros.
The feeling of peace and serenity that you will experience from the amazing views of the Alps and rolling hillsides can not be explained only experienced. Do your research on the area and you will see this is the gem of northern Italy you must not miss! Located just a short drive from either Milan or Turin for travel needs, rental car is advised.
