Reenacting childhood summers
This was our fourth stay at the Peckham's family house. It reminds me of summers on eastern Long Island in the 1960s. Not fancy, but big and warm and welcoming. Every year more of my family and friends fall in love with this house.

Charming Yellow Farm House
We rented this property because of the number of people the house can accommodated but were blown away with the charm, character and location of the property. The hosts were responsive and easily available but not required because the property is well appointed and maintained. We started planning our next trip to Little Compton on our second day with every intention of renting what we called the Yellow house. For perspective we traveled with a large group of our extended family which required us to rent three properties in the area and the Yellow House by far was our favorite. If you are looking for a comfortable get away with friends or family the memories are waiting to be created at this well cared for property.

Wonderful Little Compton stay for our whole family
Our third year staying at the Peckman House. Delightful for grandparents, adults, kids, and toddlers. A very Little Compton home - perfect for our family! Everything was easy for us to make this stay wonderful: communication in advance and throughout our stay, check in and out. Will be back again!

Timeless Summer Paradise
The last night at the Peckham house, I sat in "my" bed in "my" room and booked the property again for summer 2023. Which will be our fourth stay and I hope not our last. This place is like the summer house of my childhood in eastern Long Island--unfussy, atmospheric, friendly, beautiful. The family that owns and manages it are so accommodating. Oh, the epic dinners we have cooked and eaten in the kitchen/dining room, the music we've played on the porch, the games of home-made wooden paddle tennis we've played on the lawn. I just love this house.

5 siblings, descendants of the original farm family on this property, have renovated this ancestral early Victorian home attached to historic Peckham's Greenhouse for use as a vacation rental.

Why they chose this property

Classic 19th Century farmhouse in good condition is uniquely located for pastoral vistas in this 350 year old coastal town.

What makes this property unique

Cooling summer breezes off the ocean, lovely views of the Sakonnet River with Aquidneck island and the ocean beyond, beautiful sunsets (house/ front porch faces west), Peckham's Greenhouse a few steps away, Sakonnet Vineyards 1/4 mile away, 2 miles from The Commons (playground, library, general store), 6 miles to town beach, 5 miles to Sakonnet Point, 5 miles to Wishing Stone Farm (organic farmer's market), 3 miles to Gray's Ice Cream.
