Whisky in the Highlands
This rental was the nicest place we stayed. I was looking forward to our stay and was not disappointed. We were greeted with flowers and shortbread and a “renter’s binder “ answering any questions about the property and area.

Lovely house , perfect location
We had a lovely time in our Dornoch house , it's located within a 5 minute walk of the centre of town , where there are enough shops , restaurants and pubs to allow a car free week . The stunning beach is the other side of town , in inclement weather ( it hovered around 0C most of our time there ) it was a bit challenging with the strong easterly breeze . The house was mostly perfect , beds extremely comfortable , plenty of room , heating system was excellent . Only a few things let our experience down . The settee in the lounge isn't comfortable to sit on , or in . Too soft and even with cushions not better . We didn't get on with the dishwasher , it never really worked well , often the tablet was stuck in the tray , and dishes rarely clean . We resorted to hand cleaning . And finally a combination washer drier isn't handy for a family of 4 , it doesn't hold enough and takes too long . There is plenty of room for 2 appliances in the utility room . However , we would certainly come back , it hasn't put us off from the house or Dornoch.

Excellent base for region.
The house was very well appointed, and spotlessly clean. The file provided all the details of how things worked, which is a boon for visitors. Everything in the description provided beforehand was accurate, which is appreciated.
