The house was completed in 2015 and is exceptionally warm and comfortable. This property benefits from a fantastic kitchen, ready for plenty of cooking and entertaining. The enclosed garden is mainly laid to lawn and the west facing terrace is equipped with barbecue, table and chairs from which guests can enjoy the sun late into summer evenings.
Ground Floor Open plan sitting room/dining room/kitchen. The Sitting room is furnished with ample seating for up to 8, Bose sound dock, flat screen smart TV/DVD player with Sky+, games and DVDs. The Dining Room seats up to 8 at the dining table with additional seating at breakfast bar and the sideboard is complete with crockery for 8 people. The Kitchen has a dishwasher, double sink, fridge, electric induction hob, fan oven, extractor, combination microwave, toaster, kettle, French press (cafetière), kitchen utensils, pots and pans. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and entertaining. The Utility Room has a door to garden, sink, washer/dryer, fridge/ freezer, coat hooks and space for dog bed and bowls. The downstairs WC is a large WC and includes a feature wall showing a map of the Highlands. The entrance hall with coat cupboard and second storage cupboard. First Floor: The master bedroom is furnished with a king size (5') bed, bedside cabinets with lights, fitted wardrobe, dressing table, mirror, chest of drawers, 2 side chairs, dumb valet and hairdryer. The en-suite shower room is equipped with a shower enclosure, basin, mirror, WC, heated towel rail. The second bedroom has a king size (5') bed, fitted wardrobe, bedside tables with lights, dressing table, side chair and mirror. The third bedroom has a double (4'6”) bed, fitted wardrobe, chest of drawers, mirror, bedside tables and bedside lights. The upstairs bathroom has a bath with overhead shower, WC, basin, heated towel rail and mirrors. The outside has off street parking for 2 cars. A side gate leads to the fully enclosed, west facing, rear garden which is mainly lawned, with a paved terrace, table, chairs and barbecue area. Heating. The house is fully double glazed and has solar PV/electric central heating and hot water.
The Dornoch Stores is the town's newly opened delicatessen and off-license. There is a Co-op in the middle of the town and a convenience store on the retail park. Tesco, Asda and Lidl supermarkets are in Tain, which is 15 minutes' drive away. Dornoch also has a good selection of other shops including Jail for clothes, shoes, and gifts, the Bookshop, the Hardware Store, Dornoch Farm Butchers, the Antique Shop, Kincraig fabrics, garden centre, hairdressers, chemist, post office, an art gallery and the Courthouse with its whisky shop, spa and café. The historic Cathedral is central to town life, and there are other denominations represented in the town. There are also a museum and library. A car is recommended when travelling in the Highlands, however, is not a necessity. There are bus routes from Dornoch to Inverness and taxis operate 24 hours of the day. No smoking. No parties or events. Check-in time is 4 PM - 10 PM. Check out time is 10 am. Although housekeeping staff will clean the property after you leave we respectfully ask all guests to clean and put away any plates, cups, glasses, etc they have used during their stay. All bed linen, towels (one hand towel and one bath towel per person), electricity, heating and Wi-Fi are included in the price. A starter pack of supplies: includes toilet rolls, complimentary sachets of coffee, sugar, teabags. Guests have access to the entire property.
