"AMAZING" will best describe your vacation at our beautiful two-story farmhouse that sits high on a hill overlooking 10 breathtaking wooded-acres of mountainous views that can be seen from the grand wrap-around porch. Don't be surprised to see deer or elk wandering the property visiting in the early mornings. We offer a getaway experience for the entire family with plenty to do at the "Big D Ranch" without ever having to leave the property.

Fun outdoor amenities include 2 hammocks under the trees, horseshoe pit, corn hole, tether ball, swing set and plenty of room to explore and hike the area. Feel free to add onto the little forts that other guests have started. The property is completely fenced including the livestock being fenced separate from the hiking/exploring area. Bunnies dig under, deer might jump over, but everything else stays put. Flagstone patio includes dining table, children's picnic table & chairs, wicker couches and chairs, outdoor fire place, firewood, Gas BBQ grill and propane. THIS IS YOUR DESIGNATED SMOKING AREA. DUE TO EXTREME FOREST FIRE DANGER, PLEASE ONLY SMOKE IN THIS AREA. NO EXCEPTIONS. PLEASE USE THE PROVIDED BUTT RECEPTACLE.

You will also get to meet and pet the pigs, horses, goats and donkeys from the outside of their pasture. There are also chickens and turkeys but they aren't as social.

Indoor amenities include a claw-foot bathtub, Jacuzzi tub, front-load washer/dryer, fireplace, books, Kid's Korral Play room, 3 flatscreen TV's, DVD player, board games for all ages, and an indoor fireplace.

Well-stocked kitchen includes: dishes, utensils, coffee cups, glasses, ( including plastic for the little ones, even bibs ) pots & pans, bake ware, serving bowls and platters, Kitchen Aid mixer, popcorn-popper, blender, pancake griddle, waffle maker, Keurig, drip and French Press coffee makers, coffee grinder, Crock Pot, ice maker, ice cream maker and an electric fry pan. Spice cabinet contains a small selection of the popular spices but can change from time-to-time. Please check upon your arrival to see if your favorite spice is there.

FOR THE TINY TOTS:
As parents ourselves, we realize how difficult it can be to pack all you need when vacationing with the tiniest of travelers. We hope the highchair, pack and play, toddler bed, full size crib, baby monitor, baby bath, car booster seat, dinner table booster seat, swing, soothing vibrations bouncer, stroller, child's hiking backpack, fold and go bassinet, toy box full of toys, games, plastic plates/ sippy cups/bibs and a child safety gate will help to relieve some of your concerns. You will find these items in one of 3 places. In Kids Korral ( where you will find LOADS of toys), in the closet under the stairs, or upstairs on the landing. There is a Toddler Bed and Crib on the landing.

The Big D Ranch is just off Hwy 64 which leads directly to the south rim of the Grand Canyon via a short, 40 minute drive. The Ranch, which borders the Kaibab National Forest, is just a 5-minute drive to Kaibab Lake where you can hike, fish ( fishing poles, tackle box, binoculars and camp chairs are in the mud room) or just have a picnic. Ice chest for you to use is on the porch. The mudroom is also where you will find first aid, Bar B Q utensils, marshmallow sticks, random hats and bags.

Please "Like" and follow us on our Facebook page "The Big D Ranch" where you will find additional information and pictures.

** Please contact us directly to discuss hosting your wedding or other event.

Renters must be at least 25 years old.

Excellent place to stay!
The Big D Ranch was a beautiful place to stay. It has amazing views out of every window or all around the outside of the house. The grandkids loved their stay as well as the adults. Everyone hated to leave this beautiful ranch.

Peaceful getaway
We enjoyed our stay and Jeff was a helpful host. The pictures don't really show how nice the house is. It was just what we were looking for in our stay in Williams/Grand Canyon.

Family vacay
We had a variety of age ranges for our trip from 9-70. Everyone had a great time. The house was lovely. The rooms were comfortable. My kids loved playing tetherball outside. 15 minutes to Williams, which was a great little town that we spent several hours exploring. The owner was easily reached. He text me a few times giving me information about the area and to give us a heads up alot the meteor shower that was occurring while we were there and offered to let us go in to see the animals when the caregivers were there. Overall there is nothing negative to say about the stay. It was an amazing part of our vacation.

Best place ever
Great house, outstanding views, super owner…and friendly donkeys. 4 toddlers (2,3,4,5) played themselves silly on decks, kid playroom, cornhole, and patio. Owner has gone way out of his way to help us with family issue that came up. Will be back for sure.

Originally from Chicago & San Diego, Carrie and I both settled in the Phoenix area. Between the 2 of us we have 2 grown children, Hunter and Billie and nothing is more important to us than getting together and spending time with them. We regularly enjoy family gatherings at the Ranch whether it be for the entire week or just a weekend. Our reviews will confirm that family memories are indeed made here at The Big D Ranch. See you soon.

Why they chose this property

Being from the city, we wanted to find the perfect place in the mountains to get away from the hustle and bustle. We wanted to breath the fresh air, feel the cool breeze, nap under the trees in the hammock, sleep with the windows open, hear the roosters and the donkeys in the morning and the train at night. We wanted to be centrally located to attractions and enjoy the quaintness of the small town of Williams. We found what we were looking for and so much more. It's amazing and we would love to share it with you and your family. We look forward to hosting you.

What makes this property unique

The Ranch is located squarely between Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon and only minutes from historic downtown Williams. During the summers you can hike, bike, take day trips to the Grand Canyon, visit Bearizona, a wild animal drive-through park or just stroll along the shops of downtown Williams. Maybe you just stay "home" for the day and pet the animals, play corn hole, tetherball, horseshoes, swing on the swing or nap in the hammock. The Big D Ranch offers something for everybody. You are sure to head back home with many great memories and a desire to return.
