About this property

Froggy Cottage, Thornham, Norfolk

A charming brick and chalkstone cottage, beautifully presented and well-equipped. Froggy Cottage is set back from the coast road, with rear views to the marsh and sea beyond. The kitchen is a cook's dream, with a fabulous range style gas cooker, and the garden with terrace comes complete with a little pond for the frogs!

Comfortable and well-equipped, this mid-terrace cottage is a well-loved and cosy holiday home. With pretty fabrics at the windows it comfortably sleeps four in two bedrooms, so is perfect for a couple, friends or small family to enjoy a short break or longer holiday on the coast. With quality bed linens, you're assured of a good night's sleep after a busy day out and about exploring this beautiful area of North West Norfolk.

If you're tempted to stay at home and are in the mood to cook, being in the heart of Thornham you have a fantastic selection on the freshest local produce to choose from to create something wonderfully tasty. If you prefer to eat out, and don't want to drive, there are plenty of places to choose from in the village that are just a short walk away. With pretty cottage gardens front and rear, you can enjoy alfresco dinging in the summer months and, best of all, your flour-legged friend can come along too!

With a sandy beach, RSPB bird reserve at Titchwell, and the coastal path all within walking distance of the cottage, don't forget to pack your bucket and spade, walking boots and binoculars too! The Coasthopper bus service runs up and down the coast road very regularly, so if you don't want to do a circular walk you can always catch the bus back.

A Warm Welcome at Froggy Cottage
This was our fourth holiday in Thornham but our first stay at Froggy Cottage. The attraction of Thornham is easy access to the coastal marsh for the peace and tranquility, dog walking and bird watching and also for the three pubs in the village. Froggy Cottage was a welcoming, warm cottage with a beautiful view across a field to the sea, from the back bedroom. The cleanliness throughout the cottage was striking and probably the best we have found in any holiday accommodation. The beds were comfortable and we had a very enjoyable three night stay. We would certainly book to stay in Froggy Cottage again.

Nice cozy cottage
Very clean comfortable cottage, only problem, bath was very nice but not enough hot water to enjoy. Shower were nice. It was very expensive for the time of year but a beautiful location. Would definitely recommend it and will return at some point. Thor ham is my favourite area so in general great holiday

Wonderful stay
Froggy Cottage was warm, cosy and felt like a home from home. The beds were really comfortable and the shower is amazing. Incredibly quiet and beautiful views over the marsh. Close to lots of great pubs and great to have a parking space. Didn’t want to leave!

8/10 Good

Our stay
Froggy Cottage is clean, nice and warm and comfortable however, there are two slight issues. 1. The back door is almost impossible to lock and unlock, we literally had to kick the door to lock from the inside, it clearly needs easing and adjusting as this could clearly be a security issue if guests cannot open and lock the door. 2. guests should be told to bring a torch for this time of year as firstly there is no light in the shed where the key safe is located and the security light only comes on when you are about three feet from the back door.

Lovely holiday based in Froggy Cottage
A lovely cottage in a great location. Very comfortable. Only issue was a stiff back door lock. But very comfortable and cosy. Everything we needed. Fabulous.
